Hey you guys, I've also had to wear the white support hose. My doctor that replaced both my knees is very strict, you must wear the thigh high ones for six weeks after knee surgery. I really got tired of them but I do think they were a great help during that time. I know my knees have done a lot better than friends who didn't have to wear them. I've voluntarily worn them since then, during stressful times, long days etc. They do help. Later Nova In a message dated 9/16/2011 11:00:20 P.M. I felt really dumb when I first started wearing them, but I don't really care right now. The doctor at the wound center told me I probably would have to wear them to rest of my life... ugh. Glad to hear from you, also. Hope all is well over Georgia way.
