I found this info out for my husband. Delbert Hubert Palmertree was my husband's father. He also fathered 4 other children by Faye. He left Faye when she was pregnant with Robert and married a woman named Claire. Later he married again in Texas and had 4 children by Velma: Amy, Robert, David and Michael. These 4 are my husband's half brothers and sister. I have been in contact with them. It is funny that he would name another child Robert. Delbert Hubert's father and mother were Delbert and Myrtle Ophelia. Delbert was actually born a Barrentine, but was adopted by Doc Palmertree, when Delbert's mother became pregnant and unwed. We believe the man was Ulysses Adelbert Barrentine, but he was killed at age 19, before they could marry. Doc Palmertree was MUCH older, but they went on to have 3 or 4 more children. There is a Palmertree website where you might could find out more info on the Palmertrees. I ! found out a lot of info there through Ken Jackson.
