Went to courthouse for about 1hr.  Didn't have time to find too many obits.  But Donna Kay, you may enjoy a couple.  Maybe I'll get the 4 on line in the next day or 2.     Jan. 4, 1979     The Winona Times Winona, Ms.   Mrs. Lois Claire Holmes   Mrs. Lois Claire McKain Holmes, 57, a native of Montgomery County, living in Greenwood, died Saturday, Dec. 30 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a nurses aid.   She is survived by her husband, William Ernest "Billy" Holmes of Greenwood; 1 sister, Mrs. Sarah Helen Allison of San Antonio, Texas, & 1 brother, James Dyre McKain of San Jose, Calif.   Services were held at Oliver Chapel, Monday, Jan. 1 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Glen Miller officiating.  Burial was in Oakwood Cemeterywith Oliver Funeral Home in charge of arrangement.   Pallbearers were Arthur Henson, Ranny Henson, M.S.Costilow, Jr., James Corley, James Earl Henson & Leon Parker.
