My husband is Robert W. Palmertree, the child that Faye was pregnant with when Delbert left her. I just wanted to assure you that he is Delbert's child. Over the years we tried to reach Delbert to just talk to him, but we were denied access to him by his wife. Robert is definitely Delbert's son, and looks just like his 4 brothers and sisters by Delbert. I am sorry to hear of his passing in 1995. We were notified at that time. I have since made contact with Robert Palmertree in Texas, my husband's half brother, and have had great coversations with him via email. Also, have made contact with Donny Palmertree. What a fine young man. I am on facebook, and Donny and Michael are both friends of mine. Yes, the Palmertree family did in fact adopt the child fathered by Ulysses Adelbert Barrentine. An older Palmertree man (I can not remember his name right now) married the young woman who had become pregnant by Mr. Barrentine! , but he was killed before they could marry.
