    3. Lynn, E-mail them to my personal address and I will get them posted. And thanks for giving me Nicole's last name. I just corrected that, too. Any photos you would care to share would be just great. Ask the other list members - looking at other family photos seems to make us feel like we already know each other. I think that's one reason this is such a close-knit family list, even though we are not all blood related. Ken

    3. Great photos-Thanks for sending them Lynn! And thank you Ken for all the hard work you do for this site. I can't even begin to describe how great it is to learn about an aunt, uncle, and cousins that I never knew I had. So what if their only half! Haha. Thanks to all of you for letting me be a part of the group. Very "neat" to learn of my heritage after thinking I didn't have one for so long. I don't have any pictures to post of my Dad and my brothers, but I'll see what I can do as far as scanning one. 1. [PTREE] Them Roberts.........
    2. Ken Jackson
    3. Well now, I just had to go throw a wrench in things, didn't I? Donny - I know you had to know what your grandfather's name was. What was confusing me was that we already knew about Robert Wayne and Lynn Palmertree, and that he is Dell's son. But no one mentioned that you were the half-brother of Robert Wayne, and I got really confused after that. Not to mention I collected the wrong information from Texas records regarding the Donald And Margaret Palmertree having a son Robert Ray Palmertree. Just a few mouse clicks will fix my family links in my genealogy program. I'm sure you found and joined us, else wise you might have belonged to a whole 'nother strange family for years! Ha. I think it's great, 'cause it sure made all of us stop and scratch our heads for awhile. Thanks, Donny and Lynn for all your input here. We do appreciate all you have contributed. Ken

    3. I know I was shocked when I found out that Hubert had my Robert in 1952 and then a second one approximately 6 years later. Because I believe Robert in Texas is around 50. My Robert in Mississippi will be 56 November 22. Donny is 24 and our Lori is 31. So I guess that makes Donny my nephew, right? Or half-nephew, anyway. Lynn Palmertree (Robert W. 3. Yes. that is correct. Your father and my husband are half-brothers. Fay was Hubert's 1st wife. They had 5 children, Robert being still unborn at the time he left for Texas. Now I saw that he had a son from a 2nd marriage who died in 1962. I don't know if that was with your grandmother or not. He may have married again after this child died and had your father and brother. 3. Peggy, Mr. Mcelroy, and Ken, The 2nd option is correct with Robert Palmertree being my father, and my mother being Rebecca Jane Britt. My three older brothers are correct as listed below. However, after talking with Lynn Palmertree, we realized that Hubert Delbert (my grandfather who passed away in 95) had previous wive(s) and multiple other children, one of which is named Robert Palmertree. This is Lynn's husband. So, to summarize (and please correct me if I'm wrong): Barrantine and Tobitha Green had Hubert Delbert Palmertree. Dock Palmertree adopted Hubert Delbert Palmertree after Barrantine ran off. Hubert Delbert had three children, one of which was also named Hubert Delbert Palmertree (jr). Hubert Delbert had a Robert Palmertree with his first marriage. Then he had another Robert Palmertree with his second marriage. This is my Father. The first Robert is Lynn's husband. 3. Donny, One of us is on the wrong track here. I got to thinking, and remember your first note to the group, quoted below: --------------------------------------------- So, using your info, as far back as I can go: Ellen Tobitha Green and "Barrantine" - Barrantine ran off and Dock Palmertree adopted: Delbert Palmertree Delbert had three children, one of which was Hubert Delbert Palmertree Hubert Delbert had Robert Palmertree He has 4 sons- Bobby, Billy, Tommy, and Donny Palmertree - me (You'd think we were f/ MS with those names right?). -------------------------------------------- I remembered I have you and your family in my genealogy database and looked at it tonight. This is how I have your family tree. If I am on the wrong track, do let me know. (And if this is right, you and I share the same ancestry of William Andrew Jackson "Buck" Palmertree and Francis Ann "Kit" Parkerson.) I'll be working backwards through your ancestry. Donny James Palmertree (self) Robert Ray and Rebecca Jane Britt Palmertree (parents) Donald G. and Margaret ? Palmertree (grandparents) Upton Thurman and Velma Clyde Gordon Palmertree (great-grandparents) James J. "Jimmie" and Ida Jeanita Gibson Palmertree (great-great-grandparents) W.A.J. and Frances Ann Parkerson Palmertree (great-great-great-grandparents) Was your grandfather Donald G. Palmertree? I collected most of the information on your father's family from Texas records, so I may have a connection wrong. Let me know. Ken
