They are good & fatten. I sure hated that I didn't get some green one last Sept. when I went to Monticello to put in my freezer. Bet my sugar would have really stayed up. 3. Jeannine, just wish I could find my Hogg's, Maxwell's & others as friendly as the P'tree line. If anyone needs any help that has a linking to the P'tree's bet Ken & OD will do some nosing around, to see if they can find anything. OK, you guys, you know what next Sat. is!!! Hope I can get Basil to go with me to see my nephew who is going to have to leave in May to go over seas. He will leave the first of March to go to Camp Shelby. When he was in the first grade I would have never thought he would want to pick up a gun. But in the 5th grade he would have gone if he could have then. He loves America!! Let me go before something happens. 3. Well, I don't have anything to add to the Palmertrees either, but you guys sure have been a good jumping off point for my research on my Poplar Creek lines. I've been able to push past my Dinah Garner who married William D. Herring into her mother's Heslip family. Turns out the Heslips are another old family in the Montgomery/Carroll county area. Dinah's mother Selah Heslep Garner is buried in the Old MIddleton Cemetery in Winona and a fragment of her headstone is one of the very few surving stones there. I guess I said all that to say this, Thanks to all of you for the information posted to the list. Anyone with Poplar Creek roots will find a wealth of information in the archives here. 3. Ken and Gang, I got a death certificate for Nelwyn Lenore Palmertree a few years ago and she was born 4 Oct 1935 and died 19 July 1936 in Copiah County, Mississippi. She was burried 20 July 1936 in Antioch Baptist Ceemetery there in Copiah County. Cause of death is listed as Acute Collitis.. Her father is listed as W.F. Palmertree and her mother as Elva Hancock... Their address was Crystal Springs, RT-2... The Dr. Stated that he attended her from the 12 of July to the18 of July and that she died 2:30 AM 19 July... This Cemetery is somewhere west of interstate 55 at Crystal Springs... How do you like the spin that Elva Nell put on her daughters first name, Nelwyn??? I have never heard that name before. I wonder what happened to Elva Nell and if they had any more children???
