    2. Emmitt Channell
    3. Ken, Thanks for posting this obit for Bobby Cason. He was one of my closest friends in Greenwood High School. We were together constantly. Bobby was fearless! I was fearful. I think that is why I was attracted to him. He amazed me with the things he did. He once called me up to tell me he had something I ought to see. I went over to his house and he had an alligator in his swimming pool. He had caught the 6 foot beast in a swamp and brought it home. He later put it in the fountain in Itta Bena. I can imagine the excitement that caused on Saturday when that little town was packed with folks. It's a wonder we didn't get arrested for some of the things we did. Anyone have an address for his wife, Rose? I would like to get in touch with her. 3. Thought I was going to have a heart attack this morn. when I saw 10 emails. I turn the comp. off early last night since no one had been emailing for a few days. Deb, sorry you have been under the weather, but hope you will be going full strong in a few days. Yes, "us" in Miss. can have some bad weather. This morn. we woke up to about 42 deg. after being 50-60 deg. in the morn. But of course I pull out my shorts for this afternoon. One weather person said we may have another round of bad weather Thursday -Sat. Maybe the pollen won't be too bad for us. The dogwood, & redbuds have been pretty around here. God knows I can't plant anything that will live so He lets those trees come up so my yard looks nice. God knows just where to put them under the pine trees to look good. Just wish He would take away those running honeysuckles. Hope Ed & Dorothy has got some much need rain. Later Peggy

    3. Deb, So glad to hear from you. Thanks for letting us know about your health, and glad you are doing better now. Yes, Spring weather down here in the South can be treacherous. You just have to keep up with the weather and act quickly if any warnings crop up for your area. I've meant to tell you that we have a cousin on the list who lives in Pottstown, PA. He is Emmitt Channell, a retired Church of Christ minister who was born and raised in Mississippi. We hope you recover well and can soon get back to participating in our family group here. Ken -----Original Message----- Hey all u Cuz Sorry to hear about all of the bad weather you had the past few days. Here in PA cold and had snow on the cars in the morning. Weather like you get is one thing we do not have to worry about. Had a bad tornado about 10 years ago and watched it go right down the middle of the Ohio River into Pittsburgh. I had the kids in the bathroom in the basement and I was running around like a fool trying to open windows. Never thought about going to the bathroom on the 1st floor d/t risk of back flooding into the basement from the river. Hope everyone is well. I just got out of the hospital having a hitial hernia repair done last Thursday complicated by earlier surgery for Barrett's esophagus on my stomach and esophagus, so my stay was a bit longer that normal.
