Don!! Do ??u !!!e a T??!?. co?n. !!r ???? t? t!! ye!? Ke??
FWIW There is one cardio dr. in Jackson that I would go to. He is the son of a friend of ours, Dr. Crowder. Haven't need him...yet. But he really helped a friend of ours that no other dr. had been able to fix.
Peggy, I was?really happy to see O.D. on line again. Missed him!? and yes we need to hear "The Old Gray Goose" again this year. Wouldn't be the Hoedown without it. Joe does get a lot of pleasure in creating a fun street rod out old?rusty?cars. He did our first one that we took to so many shows, back in the middle eighties, it was the 46 Ford Coupe(Chevy Engine). We traveled with a small group of Okies and Texans everywhere for about five years. NM, AR, KS, TX (including on Southfork Ranch loved that, they only used the outside of the house for filming the TV show but it was great touring inside. There was a photo op at what was supposed to be JR's desk.with us pretending to be JR and SueEllen with their big western hats etc. KY. CO. AZ. IN. MO. and my favorite I think the Old Fort Group in Arkansas. We always had fun but they were just extra?friendly and always gave big fish fries for the street rodders.?There was also one near Mina,?AR. at the Queen Wilimena Lodge on the top of the mountain.? Driving up Talimina Drive with all those hilly curves was a lot of fun. Our guys?were a "drive your car group, not a trailored group?but there's room for both"?Eventually got tired of all that and sold the 46 Ford in 2000. Since then he has had a blue and white 66 Mustang,(302 engine), He's been driving "Ol Yeller" for a few years, now a 72 Chevy Cheyenne truck that he gets compliments on every time he goes anywhere, including Walmart parking lot. 1st had a 454 engine and then changed to 4.3 v6 now. His project that got?him through radiation and all the trama of?fast growing prostrate cancer just a?couple of years ago, was?a?45?Army Jeep.?I would drive him home from?a radiation treatment and he would rest a bit and then head out to the garage, everyone loves that jeep now. We went to the 45th Museum in OKC to see how everything was done for real. ?He even painted white stars on it and added things like the real guys had in the back, all painted regulation Army green paint I ordered for him off the net. I took a picture of him in the jeep in front of a barn size American Flag we painted on our barn facing the road after 9-11 and he sent it to his brothers and sisters with the question, "Why do I have to push one to get English?" So that's what keeps him out of trouble, if he sells them, he always makes a good profit, if he mentions something I spend on, I will just ask what did that last engine etc cost? It's funny.?? Bye Nova? Hope this is not too messed up with the ?? and things. -----Original Message----- From: peggy palmertree <psmpalmertree@bellsouth.net> To: palmertree@rootsweb.com Sent: Wed, 3 Jun 2009 9:08 am Subject: Re: [PTREE] O.D. (bkgagent: I'm amazed at how rude people that work with the public in all areas can be.) ??? I went shopping the other day with my sister Beverly,?I don't shop that much any more?except what I have to, after?going in and out of several stores, I?noticed such a difference in the store clerks' dress and attitude from just a few years ago. Several were chewing gum and sounded like "yeah" and "nah". Beverly is a shopper with endless energy, I asked her about it and she said she was noticing it in a lot of stores now.? In one nice store, a?clerk?had on a tank top and tights, I was kidding Beverly about, "Are you sure she is a clerk here?"??Oh, for the good old days. ha? Guess that is a sure sign I'm getting old.....? Before anyone that works with the public gets too upset, I know it works both ways!!!! I certainly see enough rude customers also and I've worked with the public myself, but the clerks I noticed the other day turned me off buying in those stores and if?that happens too often, I wouldn't think there would?be a job. As for health care workers, I recently recommended a dermatologist to someone, telling them that he was a?smart doctor but?didn't have?a good bedside manner, they later told me they'd never go back to him. I warned them.?He's been around?a long time?and has a busy practice, one of my favorite aunts once told him to get out of her hospital room and?not ever come back.?She was the best and I still miss her. And by the way, Dr. Katrina Poe was awarded "The Country Doctor of the Year" for the entire United States in 2005... Her staff has given me more caring and prompt service than any other hospital that I have been in. Just pray for them to stay there and provide health service to our small community... Glad to hear that you and Ms. Francine have the trip behind you, Mr. O.D. Kick your feet up, stay cool and take care of yourself. As for the lack of bedside manner of healthcare workers....I don't think that bad attitudes are restricted to the medical profession. I'm amazed at how rude people that work with the public in all areas can be.

I stayed in Kilmichael Hospital for 7 day's as they were getting pneumonia cleared up in my right lung. As my heart rate was not good at times, Dr. Poe continualy talked to Dr. Lawson at the Jackson Heart Clinic, he has been my heart Dr. since 2001 when I had the triple by-pass. They were in constant contact and worked together on giving me the medication that they thought would help me. I had an appointment with Dr. Lawson at 10:00 this morning but as things go at a big heart clinic he had a emergengy at the hospital where he had two HEART CATH'S to do. So they filled in with a Dr. Water's, who was my nephew's Dr... Well any way he continued the medication that Dr. Lawson and Dr. Poe was giving me. I then got the Echo Gram and am back home untill Dr. Lawson can read it and then we will go from there. My heart rate seems to be good now and I just pray that it stay's OK... I just hate to go to Jackson for any problem's as it seem's that everyone in central Mississippi is sick and trying to get some kind of treatment. No bed-side manner from them at all and most of the worker's seem to be mad at something. I'll take the small home town Hospital like Kilmichael and a very caring Dr., as Dr. Poe, to care for me. And by the way, Dr. Katrina Poe was awarded "The Country Doctor of the Year" for the entire United States in 2005... Her staff has given me more caring and prompt service than any other hospital that I have been in. Just pray for them to stay there and provide health service to our small community... Hi Gang, Just a line to let all of you know that I am back home at last.
