    3. Thanks Ed, Kathy & Peggy, I'm feeling much better today. Able to get up and down easier. I must have slept over 9 hours once I got off to bed. Sletp till 6:30 which is very unusual for me. I'm glad I chose not to go to work. I got the bandage off today and that was a job! They ought to have a pull tab or something to get a hold of. Ed, sounds like the same thing. I haven't been able to walk far at a time for some time now. My legs just give out. Sit down for a couple of minutes and ready to go again. I'll find out Tues. if he checked the right side or if I need to have another one done later. Has anybody heard from O.D. today? Sure hope he's on the mend. Finally I got put in touch with a vascular surgeon on 6/22 and he did an angiogram?? (I did the question marks!) today, so I spent several hours at the hospital.  He found the blockage and put a stint somewhere in my left leg today.  I had planned to go to work tomorrow, but changed my mind after I got home today. They said I would be awake but not remember anything, but I seemed to remember most of it.  I remember asking about when the needle would be put in but it was already in.  Now it's just some mild discomfort where they punctured me "down there". 1. Re: [PTREE] Ho!own c??ming s!!?
    2. Thanks, that's a good suggestion. Speaking of "writing"? ha? stories are due on the 10th this month June. I think I am writing about Joe's childhood hero who he is just like. except for the drunk all the time part. ha This was a brilliant old mechanic who could do anything he wanted to with cars and everyone would get him to help them work on their cars Joe said he was a young boy but knew he wanted to be able to do anything with cars and mechanics like PT Ratliff did and if he finishes putting this engine in this car, he said he was gonna look up and say "PT this one's for you." So get busy woman. Story by the 10th.? did I ever send you my last one? about domino shuffling sounds?? Hi Nova, this is the type stuff that drives you mad isn't it? I have found that often if I use exclamination points, questions marks or the apostrophe some e-mail programs that the recipient uses will change them into all sorts of wierd things. After reading about your problems with Hughes Net and dialup I was going to suggest you do what I did when I relied on dialup. I would open my e-mail and read them. The ones I wanted to respond to I would copy and past into a Word document. Then I would write my response in Word, reconnect to the internet, open the e-mail I wanted to respond to and paste the resonse into it. That sounds complicated, but by typing my response off-line and using paste to put it into my message when I hit "Reply" it limited the time I had to keep a good connection. I had time to think about and could make a longer reply without fear of being kicked off and losing what I had written. It may not work for you, I just offer it as a suggestion. 3. 1. [PTREE] Latha Bacon Austin Obituary
    2. Ken Jackson
    3. Oliver Funeral Home Online Obituaries Winona, MS June 3, 2009 Latha Bacon Austin (February 26, 1919 - June 3, 2009) Latha Bacon Austin of Greenwood departed this life on June 3, 2009, at Graceland Assisted Living Home in Grenada, where she had resided since July of last year. Born February 26, 1919, in Carroll County, Latha was the daughter of Walter F. and Johnnie O'Neal Bacon. After graduating from J. Z. George High School in Carrollton, she was married to Manuel (Slick) Austin, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are siblings, James Barney (Buddy) Bacon of Winona, Allyne Holmes of Winona and Dorrence Chambley of McCarley. As a young wife, Latha moved to Greenwood where she worked for the Singer Sewing Center until retirement. An accomplished seamstress, Latha made clothing for the store manikins, for her nieces, and for numerous clients. A Latha Austin made garment was a work of art. While she never had children of her own, her nieces felt they had the benefit of a second mother in Latha because she was always on hand to make a garment or help in any way that she could or just be fun to spend time with. When there was sickness or anything that called for an extra hand, this modest lady was the first to come and often the last to leave, yet she would insist that she had done little. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greenwood where she was active in the Sis Taylor Sunday School Class. For many years, Latha and a group of friends gathered weekly for cards and conversation. Noted for her quick wit, Latha brought life and laughter to any group. Her memory will be treasured by her one surviving sister, Bertha Jacks of Grenada, her nieces Shirley Curtis of Greenwood, Mary Elizabeth Corley of McCarley, Betty Lynn Hudson of Dallas, and Georgia Ross of Wynne, Arkansas, and by a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, June 5th, at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona. Services will immediately follow in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM led by the Reverend Glen Seefeld . Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Pallbearers are Bill Curtis, Wayne Howard, Jimmy Austin, David O'Bryan, Andy O'Bryan and Brad O'Bryan. Honorary Pallbearers are the staff and friends from Graceland Assisted Living Home. Memorials should be sent to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 1870, Greenwood, MS 38935 or Sta-Home Hospice of Grenada.
