NO garden for me, even the grass shrinks up by mid day....and turns brown no rain here but all around us they have had showers...it’s a hit and miss and we get missed most of the time... Yea lets all look for that Hawk say about Nov....... The heat is really getting to me. Wish the hawk would come out. Remember back a few months some were talking about when it got real cold the hawks would come out, just wish 1 or 2 would come out. We had elections Tuesday. I helped with it. But the place was good & cool. But a few came in & was complaining about it. We told them to go outside & get warm. There will be a run off the 23 & then the General election will be in Nov. Our garden is gone except the okra. I need to get some garlic glove & pur them in the jars & then put the pods in. I love it. I really don't have any news or gossip. So later. Peggy Peggy, you will have to enjoy that canned okra for me as I did not put anything away this year. This week very busy getting my older sister moved. Boy, what a lot of details and things to do. Our hottest ever was 113 and they predicted today would be 112 something, but it only - ONLY? got up to 109, but lots of people having to work outside were sick. It was just awful. But about 3-4 o'clock, a storm blew up and across OKC, at one big water park, it blew some people down in a parking lot and dropped a lot of water just in certain spots, but not our area, we just had a few drops on my windshield. Mary and I were talking about the pretty clouds over OKC on our way home from Norman, we had no idea what those pretty clouds were doing up there! Yesterday, we had a big fire a few miles east of us, got a few houses I heard. The military guys were dropping those big containers of water on it, one lady said it would look like the water had put it out but by the time the helicopter had left for a nother load of lake water, the fire would pop back up, but those helicopters really did help. It's been a really long day and so much working and packing and sorting, tonight I find I am holding my hand on my back and wanting to walk bent over, so will go to bed and see if I feel better in the morning, which I hope and am not really walking all bent over. Paul, thanks. I did search on Amazon but nothing turned up. The book was written by Evelyn Bell Crouch in 1993. Actually it was a joint project. Sure enjoyed the last couple of email. Wish we could find some info. on William & WAJ. in print. I believe you could hear me shouting. In the cemetery back home, there is a section without any tombs, but I remember my Daddy saying that there was where the people were buried of Yellow fever & Thyroid. So if any of those people had family that lived will not know where they are buried. It's sad. Just wanting to chat a minute. Later. Peggy Peggy, it was good to hear from you. All afternoon, I was over at my sister's apt, we are still sorting out her stuff and it is getting there, so we should be ready for her to move in to the living center on Thurs. She may not have a tv cabinet yet but she said she didn't care, she likes to read novels better than watch tv anyway. I wish she would live with some of the family but she says NO, I'm just glad she will not be living by herself anymore, she needs the 24/7 care and will have it there. Will be living close so visiting will be no problem. Good to hear from you Peggy. Take care. Nova
Thanks for all the info to add to my FTM. I knew one day I would get it all connected. Back in March I rejoined Ancestry.com as they have made many changes and improvements. Lisa Ruppe had asked a question on Palmertree Group and that is how I got started on that particular part of the family. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, July 30, 2011 10:51 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [PTREE] OKLA P'trees Thanks for the info. Peggy, not a problem at all, except I have to run to town to help if closing my sister's apt out. Boy, I've got to get my house cleared out before I kick off, my sister is moving into a retirement center and she had so much stuff to go thru in just a two bedroom apt. I can't imagine my kids sorting my stuff out. So I will be back later and will forward any more emails from you Peggy, don't mind at all. Honest!! Hope you threaten someone with feeding them sardines. ha - wouldn't work on me I like them. ********************************************* Sat afternoon: Thanks Nova for letting the line know I'm OK. I did write another email & it wouldn't go out. Sure would like to have my Old Dell back. Glad everyone is doing ok. Tried 2 or 3 email to folks & they wouldn't go out. Jerry, I took some pictures & then I let a niece use the camera to take some pictures of the tornado at the church & I got get my pictures, I made for you. Don't have at he book but at least I got the e-mail. I have sent some out and have been wondering if everyone got them. Please let me know if you get this. Janie -----Original Message----- From: Beth Austin Sent: Saturday, July 30, 2011 11:40 AM To: Palmertree Group Subject: [PTREE] History of Montgomery County Hello To All I would so very much like to find one of the "History of Montgomery County" Books. If anyone knows of one that I could buy, please let me know. It is something that most people would not want to get rid of but there may be someone who has passed away and the family could possible have an extra one. Peggy, sure have missed you on here and hope you are feeling better. So glad to hear Peggy is doing ok, and you too, Nova. When I post something it doesn't come through on my computer and I don't know if it goes out to others or not. I am hoping it does. I haven't sent any old obituaries cause I am too tired when I get home from work to go through my stuff and copy them. I will try to do better. I hope everyone is keeping cool. It hasn't been that hot here, mostly in the 80's.
