    3. I didn't know her but I had a clipping from the Times about her wedding announcement and a picture of her since my grandma always cut out things about family. I didn't know how we were kin until another cousin sent me a copy last year of the Greenlee Family Tree that Patsy had put together, with some help from others, back in 1998. I always suspected I was kin to all these people cause we visited them a lot but I didn't know for sure. When you are a child you don't think too much about things like that. I was grateful to get the family tree and I emailed her to ask if she had updated it but I never heard back from her. I had no idea she was in bad health. I'm sorry I never got to know her. I am so thankful to Donnie for getting me connected to the P'tree family. It has been wonderful hearing all of your stories and find out how my family has connected with yours. My mother was friends with so many of your family members and intermarried as well. So I call all of you my family too. I hope I can actually see y'all in person someday soon. 3. Yes I remember that day.   You & Carl wanted the broc. salad & Patsy order a small one.  All 3 of you eat on the big one, she had the small salad later.  Bet she was glad when we all left, so she could get some rest.  One year, her pear tree was loaded, so I got a couple of buckets.   You couldn't miss what I had got.  Yes she was a very loving & sweet person.  I really missed her when she move to Hattiesburg.  I couldn't call or go see her.  I picked at her, that she moved to H. to be near Brett Farve.  Went to her funeral, & the church was packed.    Peggy From: Ken Jackson <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, September 16, 2011 10:56 PM Subject: [PTREE] PatsyWilliamson Gang, I am so sorry to hear of Patsy's passing, I want to thank her daughter for the notice, and a copy of her obituary. 1. Re: [PTREE] Support hose for men...
    2. Hey you guys, I've also had to wear the white support hose. My doctor that replaced both my knees is very strict, you must wear the thigh high ones for six weeks after knee surgery. I really got tired of them but I do think they were a great help during that time. I know my knees have done a lot better than friends who didn't have to wear them. I've voluntarily worn them since then, during stressful times, long days etc. They do help. Later Nova In a message dated 9/16/2011 11:00:20 P.M. 3. Gang, I am so sorry to hear of Patsy's passing, I want to thank her daughter for the notice, and a copy of her obituary. She was such a wonderful person, and a joy to be around. Peggy - remember the day you, Carl and I went to her house and had lunch with her? You and Carl went to the Council House for pick-up lunches, and brought them back to eat in her kitchen. Seems like that was shortly before she moved to Hattiesburg. I remember she gave me a 17" monitor that day. She didn't use it since she got a new machine. I did like her a lot. She was just like family, you know. Peace to her family. I know they will miss her terribly. 3. Emmitt, sure good to see you on line.  Sorry about your bypass, but good that you are getting along a little each day.  God wants you around a little longer.   Peggy From: Emmitt Channell <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, September 15, 2011 9:09 AM Subject: Re: [PTREE] Here I Is.... Hi Ken! Great to hear from you. I am so glad you are doing better and hope that you continue to improve. I had a triple bypass in Oct 2010 and I am still not back to normal. I just keep reminding myself that I have to be patient. I have trouble with that! I have worn those support hose for years. Now I feel uncomfortable wearing ordinary socks. I have found that there are different grades of these socks. For a while I tried to wear the cheap ones and I just about gave up wearing supports altogether. I have to have them or my legs swell. Then, I finally found a better grade which cost $35.00 a pair. That is a lot to pay but the difference is dramatic and they come in blue, black, brown and grey. I hope all goes well with you. 3. Thanks Donna for letting us know about Donnie.    Someone told me to eat a banana before you go to bed, & that would help you sleep.  After I get to sleep, I wake up with it in my throat. No more for me.   Since Donnie & Ken are not so stable on their feet, that would be something to watch in Wal Mart. Donnie you know I kidding, because of Ken.  I really shouldn't say anything since I bursted the floor in Grenada.  So I guess I'm the third party. Ennie, minnie & mo. I am 68.  Glad I didn't have a dress on that day, or break a bone.   I would have been a bad patience.   Glad to see Ken can still type on his comp.  Now maybe he will get something started (please not about me).   Peggy From: Donna Kay <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, September 15, 2011 6:26 AM Subject: Re: [PTREE] Here I Is.... Hi Ken, So glad to see you are alive and well.  We have been wondering about you.........  I talked to Donnie two Saturdays ago for a few minutes.  He had company from Texas and was heading out the door.  He finished the two weeks of radiation but he said it didn't help the pain.  He has been feelling really bad and his legs hurt all the time.  He is finally in his house and is very glad to be out of the motor home.  He doesn't have many good days and he sleeps very little.  Retha keeps a close eye on him and stays with him a lot at night.  I don't think he is very stable on his feet.  Sorry I don't have more information.  Take care. 3. Ed, Yeah, me too. The weather here in the last week or two has been pure fall-like. Can't wait for the pumpkins and Halloween decorations to come out so that we can feel Fall is finally here. Hasn't been too bad a summer here in middle Tennessee, but not a lot of rain once Summer got to going good. (What do the call that - when you write or say several words in a row that start with the same letter)? ) Would it be alliteration? Oh, well. No, Peggy, I'm not drinking anything but water.... After about 3 weeks, I got tired of not having a shower, so I quit going to the wound center and went to Wal-Mart and bought a pair of support hose without the toe ends. Not good. They were totally white, though, so I opted for the sheer nude color stocking kind. 3. Hi Peggy, Well we missed out on the rain from Miss Lee but at least we have been getting some fall like weather this week.. Nice and cool mornings, I even had to wear a light jacket to play golf Thursday... It was in the 50's here during the early morning... of course before lunch I had to get out of it.... I am hoping and praying we will get some rain its just so dry... May be one of the little ones will come our way before the hurricane season is over..... Looks as if either the rain has got you or the heat. We have had some cooler weather & I believe I'm feeling better with it. Has anyone heard from Ken or Donnie? I tried to call Ken's sister Sharon yesterday & no anwer. Ken won't come home for he knows I'll come over & have a good time kicking behind.'Maybe Lee was worse there in Tenn. than here, & he got washed down the hill & can't find his way back up the hill. I would have love to have seen Lee going to Texas, but it was in God's plan to go east. Maybe the Texan need to learn how to rain dance. I haven't heard from my cousin from upper part of Texas in a few days. Just hope his home hasn't burnt. So long for now. 3. Jerry, I finally found someone with Devine connection. Exactly who were you looking for? I guess you’ve all seen on the news how many wildfires we have in TX and how big some are. One, in Montgomery, Waller and Grimes Co., is one of the big ones and I live in Montgomery Co. They say on the news the one in Bastrop, near Austin, has burned 600 plus structures. We finally got out of the 100 degree temps and it feels more livable now. Even in 50s at night but still no rain in sight. Hope everyone had a safe and happy Labor Day. I’m making good progress on combining my Palmertree info into a new tree. Ancestry.com seems to have a much better setup now. Soon as I put a person’s name in I get a notification if there is already info on file and I check it with mine by just clicking on a leaf!! Picking up lots of death dates and burial places.

    3. I still say there is a message behind all these natural disasters and they seem to get worse and worse. If people are not flooding, dropping through the earth, burning by fire, parched from lack of water or being washed into the oceans they are facing some other kind of disaster. During the month of August we had only one day that was below 100+. Thank the Lord we have cooled off a bit. The land is parched from lack of water and has cracks big enough to break a leg if a person or livestock step in one. Ponds and tanks, as they are called here, drying up and killing the fish and no water for wildlife or cattle. Big, big wildfire right now in the Bastrop area which is toward Austin from here. Already lost 300 homes and two died in mobile home that burned in the wildfire. It is out of control now. Two fires merged together and it is like 4 miles wide and 10+ miles long. We've not had any real close but have had some where we could sees the smoke. Houston Fire Chief said on TV this week they had answered calls to 600 fire in a period they normally had 90. Firefighters are worn out from racing from one place to another. In north Texas at Possum Kingdom Lake some areas have burned twice! Lost lots of homes up there. Ed, I am like you about the rain. Yesterday eve it sprinkled just a little but still need rain so bad. Went to Sam's and Wal-Mart , Sat. I think, to pickup my prescriptions and they both had closed Pharmacy early! One was my depression medicine which keeps me from wanting to cry all the time and today I am not in good shape. Sam's is still closed today so will be tomorrow before I can start getting back to normal. I have got to make myself getup and water the flowers and do other things to keep my mind occupied. It is hard to do that when my energy level is low. Hope all of you have a good Labor Day. 3. Hi Peggy, You must be getting a lot of rain today according to the weather picture... I saw on the news this morning that Jackson was flooding in some areas and had over 10 inches of rain... our weather guys are forecasting may be 1/2 inch to 2 inches and using words like hope, and may be and could be, I will believe it if I see some.... so send us some of that wet stuff..... I looked at the rain gauge when we come in from church & had less then 1/2 inche. Plus I made a booboo, for Jackson has got over 8 inches. I just hope the hummingbirds don't get blowed away. Don't have as many as last week.

Ed -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, September 04, 2011 11:54 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [PTREE] Peggy, no fires very close to us. Peggy, there were large fires both north and south of us but several miles away. They used helicopters with the water carriers to help out a lot. It is actually cold outside today. It sprinkled just a smidge earlier but sure hope we get a gully washer soon. Things are way too dry. I've had allergies  for two weeks. Sure tired of that but we live in ten miles of dry grass, timber  all around us. Speaking of timber. The former old school now church just down the street from us, that I pass anytime I'm going anywhere, has new owners and they put up  a big new sign last year.  It said "Where The Timber Cross."  That looked so odd to me, it was up several months and then they were renovating, putting up new siding, roof and when the new sign went up this week, they had "Where The Timbers Cross."    Whew, I feel better  now.  ha ha I'm no expert on things like that but that just sounded wrong to me. Joe said the weathermen were predicting it would not get higher than 85 degrees today, but it is cold outside right now 10:45am now so it may not get that high.  But then again this is Oklahoma the Bipolar State so it might be sizzling by afternoon.     Later  Nova ------------------------------- Visit the Palmertree Family History website at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~palmrtre/index.htm ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ------------------------------- Visit the Palmertree Family History website at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~palmrtre/index.htm ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
