    3. Last April when the tornado went by, it was so fast that we didn't have time to get scared.  The only problem we had was the trees being damage.  That was the only time I have been in real bad weather of any kind.  I don't want to have to go thru another. I just thank God we were not hurt.  I may be wrong but I believe it started in Holmes co. & never real was on the ground but there were places that some homes were really damage & when it got to Smithville it was "flat" on the ground.   It did touch down at Maben at the school in Webster Co.  Please Nova, don't send any quakes this way.   Peggy   ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, November 6, 2011 6:28 PM Subject: Re: [PTREE] earthquake Jeannine, what was scary to me was now knowing how long was it going to go  on, I'm sure it was not as long as it seemed at the time.  Boy, like the  news said, we've had a major disaster for each season this year. 2. Just my nerves Ha ha. Last night, about 11pm Joe had gone to bed and woke up thinking that I had come in and was jumping on the bed!! Now I know I like to keep things exciting around here but jumping on the bed at 11pm is not one I'd do. ha ha I noticed one 11x14 framed print was hanging slightly crooked. I was worried that the ceramic clock that I had made for my Mom and Dad years ago was going to fall off the shelf before I could get to it. We haven't found anything but the frame crooked, so far. My neighbor said they had the door open and it sounded like a freight train coming before they ever felt the shaking, she knew what it was when she heard it. She thought it might have done some damage to their upper level. and of course their earthquake insurance had been canceled earlier this year. Second story I've heard like that. Those boogers must have heard about these quakes coming and just canceled people in this area. Rotten!!!! I'd want my money back. The one after midnight the night before, way early the same day, woke me up feeling scared. I just assumed I had been dreaming of the mountain lions that I've been discussing lately. Ha We are on a major fault line. A major fault line about 70 miles south of here is tied in with that New Madrid fault line in MO that caused such major damage way way back. Here it is the Turner Falls Area in the Arbuckle Mountains. Going south to Dallas from OK City you pass right through it on I-35. You can see the rocks turned over sideways and in one area it looks like someone planted rows of rocks in the grass. but if you look, you can tell it is turned on it's side like in a Major Quake. I don't remember how much of that you can see from I-35 but the old Hwy 77 goes right through it. I have been doing a little research since earlier this year when I found out that a small town named Jones which is not too far NE of OKC has 20 or more quakes EACH month. or was the first part of 2011. My CA son has always laughed about the rest of the country falling off and leaving CA standing there. They say to expect more of them. Earlier this year we had a smaller quake centered just SE of Norman. it rattled the se corner of our house. I had never felt one like last night. starting out light and then it bounced slightly up and down and still rattled on for a minute. In a message dated 11/6/2011 9:54:10 A.M. 3. Janie, My McClellan's are David & Susan Watson (Holmes County 1850 - Susan then in Montgomery) = Aaron David and Sabra Hambric - David Ephriam and Mary Lee Evans, all of Hebron. I've seen it spelled with a 'd' on the end and as McLellan(d). WE know the original David was born in Ireland and Susan in SC. We have found a David Mc on a ship passenger list coming from Liverpool that may be ours. WE have no idea what happened to him between 1850 and 1860. There is a person on the internet/ancestry that has some pretty wild claims about him having six or eight wives and travelling between them from the Carolinas thru MS. I've found nothing to support her claims and there is no oral history that supports that. I have looked at the Long Cemetery, just can't tie mine into them. On the genealogy front I've worked myself into a dead end on my McClellans and Herrings. Never had much on the Garners (or leads) and ran the Heslips to a dead end also. Guess on my Montgomery County lines I'm at a standstill, so don't have much to offer there. We need someone to get a major breakthru somewhere to give us something to chase. I've been looking for the Pamertree murder someone posted last week but found nothing. 3. I just wanted you'll to know that I may be off the computer awhile. My husband passed away yesterday after a long illness. I knew it was coming but I am still getting used to the idea that he's really gone.
