Hello List: I am a newbie. So bear with me. I am looking for information about the Wieder family in the Lehigh Valley. I am a direct descendent of John Adam I . I have the 1914 account of the Wieder family and also Dorothy Worman's account of it. Both records take the history down to my father Harry K. Wieder and his sister Susanna M. Wieder Waedelich ( spelling) I have found Adelshofen, Baden Germany where the Wieders were supposed to have originated. Now my question is, has any one gone further in their research in Germany? If so would you share any information with me? Or can you tell me what means you used to accomplish your findings. Not to confuse anyone, I am going on to my next questions. I am also a descendent of Philip Wendell Klein (Kline). I COULD NOT HAVE CHOSEN TWO BIGGER FAMILIES TO BE DESCENDED FROM! I am searching for any information about Michael Adam Kline. He was supposedly born over the line in Milford Twp. , Bucks Co. He is my great grandfather. He is buried in Laury's Station cemetery with his wife Catharine Ross. He was born in 1825. He served in the Civil War and made Corporal. He also traveled to Ohio, for to my surprise, my grandmother Annie Kline was born there according to the census. His profession was that of a Miller. I have a picture of him standing in front of my grandfather William A. Wieder's hotel called the Valley House in Cementon. So you see I really do know quite a bit about him, but not where he was born exactly or who his parents were. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Being here in AZ hampers my style a bit. We do manage to get back to Allentown at least once a year Thanks in advance. Anna Kline Wieder Bennett in sunny warm Arizona. PS Don't let the Bennett fool you, my husband has as much Pa. German in his background as I do.
