His wife Lydia Ely born Hunsicker was Born Nov. 5, 1809 and died Dec. 22 1882 His oldest son Penrose Ely born May 16 1829 died June 14 1891. His wife Caroline Ely died Nov. 18 1902. His daughter Alice Oswald (sp?) nee Ely born May 12 1853, died Jan 8, 1898 Katie Ely, Daughter of S. Ely was married to Bill (sp?) Hertz (sp? died 1883 Fred Ely of Lansford, son of S. Ely killed on railroad by accident.
