My great grandfather was Samuel MERTZ b. 1868 in Lansford PA. He married Mary ECKERT no dates available. They had two children that I know of. Lester George Mertz Sr. b. 1895-d.1981 (my grandfather) and a daughter Margerite(sp?) no dates available. Samuel and Mary are both buried in Northampton. I think Lester Sr. was born in Northampton but am not sure. He married Catherine LANDIS b. 1897 in Montgomery Co.? d. 1946 in Allentown. My father Lester Jr. was born in Upper Saucon in 1914.
