I am looking for the parents of Susanna A. Moyer, b. 7 Sep 1836, PA, d. 6 Mar 1909, Windsor Twp., Berks Co., PA. She was the daughter of Philip Moyer and Elizabeth Held according to her death certificate. She was married to Joseph Reber. She was Joseph Reber's second wife. I have been searching for Philip Moyer now for a few years and have had no luck. The closest I've come is a 1850 Schuylkill Co., East Bruswich Twp. record. The record has the following. It was very hard to read but some of the ages could be wrong. Philip Moyer 64 m Boarding House Elizabeth 41/46 f Wife <-- Age was hard to read Susannah 16 f As you can see by this record, Susannah would have been born in 1834. My Susannah was born in 1836 but I know that census records are not always reliable. Also note that Philip Moyer is quite older than Elizabeth so this could be his second marriage. I also know that Susannah's husband was a railroad bridge foreman. He died in Wayne Junction, PA which is considerable distance from Berks Co., PA. So it is quite possible that Susannah was not born in the Berks Co., PA area and that he met her on his travels after his second wife died. This is only a working theory. So I'm looking for anybody who might be able to help me regarding Philip Moyer or Elizabeth Held. I'll take any help on either name. Also remember that Moyer could be Mayer or Meyer or some other variant. This could be almost as bad as looking for the Smith name. But lets hope it is not. Any mention of a Philip Moyer in any documents or records that people have would be appreciated. It just might open up the mystery. I thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
