Excerpts from The History of Lehigh County John HERMAN might have been related to my Catherine HERMAN. She was born about 1815 at Korb Wurttemberg, Germany. She was about 4 years old when her parents emmigrated to America & settled in York Co., PA. Her parents soon died & the children were scattered, she going to Philadelphia on foot to seek a home. She was married to Rev. Charles B. FLIEHR. She died in Allentown, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry (Pauline) SCHULER, 12/31/1900. She was converted when young & became a member of the Evangelical Assoc. Charles & Catharine (HERMAN) FLIEHR had the following children: Charles FLIEHR married to Elizabeth ____of Jewell County, KS, Soloman R.
