Brumbach, W. Arthur, of Esterly, was born Aug 26, 1892, s/o Aaron and Mary (Esterly) Brumbach, grandson of William Brumbach and great-grandson of Jacob Brumbach, all of whom were woolen manufacters, in Berks Co On Dec 12, 1913, at Esterly, W. Arthur married Magaret Le Van, who was born at Jacksonwald, d/o Nathan E., and Amanda (Kerker) Le Van, both of Exter township. Children, Elizabeth born 1915, Aaron A., born 1918, and Nancy M., born 1926 Brown, Orris B., was born Nov 15, 1883, in Burlington, NJ, s/o Charles H., amd Laura H. (Carman) Brown. He married June 1 1904 to Lena Shollenberger , of Hamburg, d/o Peter and Maria (Loose) Shollenberger. Children, Anna Carman. Mrs. Brown died in 1912, Mr. Brown married 2nd to Bessie Amelia Le Van, of Reading, d/o William and Amelia Le Van. Levan, Carl Howard, of Reading, was born at Esterly, Berks Co, July 1 1895, s/o Edwin and Anna Elizabeth (Potts) Levan. His family were pioneer settlers in this section, receiving from Wm. Penn a grant of land embracing a large tract of what is now Exter Twp. Carl Howard, married Oct 23, 1923, to Blanche R. Delp of Reading, d/o A.H. Delp and Mayme K. (Haines) Delp. Levan, Daniel, - Maxatawny, Proved July 5 1777. Wife Susanna, to have all estate until son Daniel is 21. To maintain and educate younger children; To son Daniel at 21, my dwelling place in Maxatawny, containing 200 acres. Also 100 acres of woodland in Longswamp. FArming utensils and cattle. Paying for same as follows, to son, Peter, Dau., Barbara Resser, dau., Elkzabeth Reeser. dau. CAtharine Levan, dau., Mary Sigfried, dau. Susanna Kemp, dau., Magdalena and dau, Margaret their share of same. Levan, Jacob, Maxatawny. Proved May 5, 178. Wife Catharine to hold all estate until son Jacob is 21, who at this time about 6 years of age. To sons John and Jacob, my plantation on which I now live in Maxatawny. Also 25 acres of woodland, at apprased value. And money divided in equal shares among my wife and children, viz; John, Jacob, Daniel and Maria Levan. Exrs. Brother-in-law, Frederick Hill and wf Catharine Wits; Nicholas Sweiger and Wm. Reeser. Translation Levan, Susanna-Maxatawny, Proved May 2, 1778. To step-daughters Barbara and Elizabeth Reiser and Anneliss Frietly 50pds each. Remainder of estate viz/ 1/3 of my husbands estate divided among my own children, the yougest dau., Dorothea only named. To granddaughter, viz; Elisabeth, Christiana, Susanna, and Mary Neudorff, my bed and bedding. To 4 daughters, viz; Catharine Probst, Mary Hill, Susanna Neudorf, and Eve Yoder all remainder of estate to be divided equally Levan, Isaac-Reading, proved Aug 3, 1786. Provides for my wife Mary Margaret. To son, Abraham 200pds. To son Daniel my platation in Exter containing 125 acres, being the same tract which Wm. Allen and wf Margret by deed Jan, 2, 1741/42 granted to me, also a tract of land in Exter containing 43 acres. To son Jacob, 5 shilling have been advance. Exrs. to sell after wife'd decease house and lot in Reading and divide the money among my children, towit; Abraham, Issac, Daniel and Mary, w/o Peter Feather and Judith, w/o Samuel Weiser. Remainder to Abraham, Mary and Judith Levan, Daniel-Reading, Proved March 15, 1792. Provides for wife Mary, including use of house and lot in Reading. Exrs. to sell various described tracts of land and remainder of personal estate, and provide for bringing up and schooling of young children. After decease of wife all estate to be divided among children viz; Polly, Elisabeth, Isaac, Daniel, Jacob and Samuel Levan, Sebastian-Maxatawny-Proved Sept 8, 1794. Admin to eldest son, Jacob.
