Lehigh County History (I). George Kriebel came to PA in 1734, a member of the Schwenkfelder. On Nov 24 1740 he married Susanna Kriebel, d/o Balthaser and Regina (Yeakel), and they had 2 sons, George born July 11, 1744, and Andrew, Sept 17, 1748. George Kriebel died Sept 2, 1778, and his wife Susanna, Sept 14, 1775 (II) George Kriebel, s/o George and Susanna, born July 11,1744, was killed by a stone falling on his head while he was cleaning out his well, Sept 14, 1792. He married Esther, d/o of George Wiegner, and she died Feb 13, 1816. They had 4 children; Christoper, born Sept. 27, 1774, and died June 1779, George born July 28, 1777 and died May 28, 1779, Christoper2, born Oct 8 1779 and Susanna born Nov 11, 1782 and died Feb 15, 1789 (III) Christopher Kriebel, s/o George, born Oct 8, 1779, died Sept 12, 1822. He married Regina, widow of Isaac Kriebel, d/o Rev. Melchoir Schultz. She died Feb. 28, 1870. They had 2 children; Susanna, born Sept. 21, 1808, and died May 27, 1875' and Bathsheaba, born July 8, 1819. (II) Andrew Kriebel, s/o George, the emigrant, married May 6, 1771, Susanna, d/o Abraham Yeakel. She died April 22, 1808, aged 57y 5m 14d. He died April 17, 1830. They had 9 children; Rosanna, born 1773, married 1818, Daniel Diehl, and she died 1836; Abraham, born Sept 27 1774; Samuel, born June 13, 1776; George, born Oct 2, 1778, died May 20, 1779; Regina, born June 25, 1780; David, born July 19, 1783; Sophia, born Nov 1, 1785; Salome, born Dec 9, 1787; and Israel, born Sept 14, 1790 (III) Abraham Kriebel, s/o Andrew and Susanna, born Sept 1774, was a miller and owned a mill property now in possession of William Kriebel, in Worcester twp. Montgomery Co. He died April 7, 1844. On June 4 1802 he married Christiana d/o Abraham Kriebel, and their children were; Sophia, born Nov 23, 1802, Isaac, March 20, 1804, Marie, March 17 1806, Sophia2 April 17, 1810, Catharine, June 9, 1813, Anna Feb 20, 1818 and Sarah 1821-48. (III) David Kriebel, s/o Andrew and Susanna, born Juky 19, 1783, died July 1, 1842. Married May 24 1810 to Rosina, d/o David Schultz, and she died Dec 27, 1817, the mother of 3. Anna, Maria, and Philip. He married 2nd to Elizabeth Alderfer, in 1819, and died Aug 12, 1878. The children of the 2nd marriage were; Henry, Susanna, Magdalena, Septimus, Barbara, Hannah and Elizabeth. (IV) Henry Kriebel, s/o Israel, born March 25, 1828 in Washington township came with his parents to what is now Kriebel's Mill in Hereford. He died Nov 10, 1893. He was married twice, by his 1st wife Mary Wiegner, he had 3 children of whom 2 died in infancy, and the other sibm Prof. Howard W. He married 2nd to Elizabeth Griesemer, d/o Gabriel Griesmer, and had 9 childrenn; Dr. Elmer, of Center Point, PA., Lewis G., Calvin G., Owen, died in infancy, Regina, married Horace Gery, Sallie, married Adam Urffer, Andrew G., of Hereford, married Ellen Gery. Dr. Asher G., and Henry G. of Alburtis Howard Wiegner Kriebel, s/o Henry (Israel and Sarah nee Schultz, Kriebel) and Mary Ann Wiegner (Jacob and Rosina nee Yeakel, Wiegner) was born in Hereford township. He married Thamar K. Schultz, d/o Thomas Schultz (Rev. Christoper and Susanna nee Yeakel, Schultz) and Hannah Kriebel (Jacob and Ann nee Yeakel, Kriebel) in 1884. Dr. Asher G. Kriebel, phyiscian and surgeon at Lynnville, a native of Hereford, Berks Co. He was born Dec 14, 1879. He married Jan 5, 1906, to Bertha H. Heebner, d/o Joseph L., and Mary Jane (Hipple) Heebner, and they had two children; T. Randall and H. Denton Kriebel, Casper and his wife Susanna, came to PA in 1734. Their children were; Abraham born Oct 8, 1736; Susanna married Casper Kriebel, who died Feb. 16, 1771. He was a decendant of Abraham Kriebel. Rev. George Kriebel, son of Casper, married Anna, d/o Balthaser Andrers, on Oct 11, 1758. Their children were; Abraham born May 26, 1760; Susanna; Jacob, and Anna. George Kriebel died Dec 1 1805, aged 73y 1m 22d. His wife Anna died June 4, 1822, 86y 2m less 4d Abraham Kriebel, s/o Rev George, married Salome Yeakel on April 26, 1784. Children were; Benjamin born Jan 22, 1785. Lydia, Daniel, Jacob, Anthony, Jonathan, Sophia, Anna, Samuel, Susanna and Rachel. Benjamin Kriebel, s/o Andrew, married Catharine, d/o Melchoir Yeakel in 1813. He died in Upper Hanover on Oct 30, 1863. His wife died Sept 30 1868. Children, Agnes, Gideon, Judith, Maria and Isaac. Isaac Kriebel, s/o Benjamin, born Oct 19, 1825, died Oct 20, 1863. He married Sarah Wiand, and they had children; William at Macungie, Benjamin Franklin, Daniel W. of Catasaqua, Mary died young. Benjamin Franklin was born in Lower Milford Feb 11, 1854. He died Dec 9 1898. He married Jan 1, 1880 to Emma R. Gilbert, born in Lower Macungie, d/o Matthias and Mary B. (Rink) Gilbert. After Mr. Kriebel's death, his widow conducted his busines for 4 years. Children, Estella M. and Charles Theodore. Estella M., married Robert Westerman of Allentown, Children; Marion, Millard W., Noel B. and Christian L. Charles Theodore moved to Michigan. Berks Co The Kriebel family was planted in PA by members of the Schwenkfelder band who came over from Silesia, Germany, in 1734 and located in Towamensing township, Montgomery Co. I. Casper Kreibel, lived in Towmamenising twp. His wife Susanna, who died April 17, 1769. They had 2 children, George and Abraham. II Abraham was born in PA Oct 8, 1736. He died Jan 30, 1801. In 1762 he married Susana, d/o George Schultz, and she died in 1820. Children; Christian 1764-1812, and Andrew III Andrew, was born Oct 5, 1765 and died Oct 15, 1853. He married Maria, d/o George Heebner. She died 1857. Children; Lydia, Daniel, George, Hannah, Abraham, Susanna and Sophia II Rev. George, s/o Casper the emigrant, was born in Saxony, Germany, Nov 3, 1732. The Rev. Kriebel died Dec 1, 1805. He married in 1765 to Anna, d/o Blathaser Andres, and she died in 1822, in Lehigh Co. Children; Abraham, Susanna, Jacob, and Anna. III Abraham, s/o Rev. George, was born May 26, 1760. In 1784 he married Salome Yeakel, who died 1815. Children; Benjamin, Lydia, Daniel, Jacob, Anthony, Jonathan, Sophia, Anna, Samuel, Susanna and Rachel. IV. Jonathan, s/o Abraham was born May 5, 1795 and died April 10, 1873. He married April 22, 1820 Anna Heydrick, d/o George, and she died April 9, 1836. Children; George born 1821, and died the same year, Charles born 1828 ahd died 1838 and Abraham. V. Abraham, s/o Jonathan was born in Lower Milford twp. Lehigh Co. On Nov 27, 1845 he married Regina Schultz, d/o Matthias. Children; Susanna born 1848 died unmarried in 1876, Jonas S., Charles, Sarah died unmarried, born 1854, died 1860, Johnm a daughter that died in infancy, and William born 1861 and died 1862. Jonas S. s.o Abraham and Regina was born in Douglass twp, Montgomery Co. He married Jan 8, 1876 to Annie H. Krauss, d/o Aaron Krauss. Children; Harvey, Minervia, Alice, married Harry Huber of Norristown, Mary, Amanda who married George Gerhart, Adaline, Edna, Annie, Oswin, and Irene. Best Wishes, Geri
