Wright, Caleb Earl, a lawyer of Doylestown, was born in the Wyoming Valley, Luzerne Co, Feb 4, 1810, s/o Joseph and and Ellen (Hendrick) Wright, the former a native of Burlington Co., NJ and the latter of Fairfield CT. His grandfather, John Hendrick was a soldier in the Rev. Lehigh Co Hendricks Family James Hendricks, of Salford twp, Montgomery Co, married Miss __ Oaks, a native of the same place. Children; Frank O., and Joseph O., both of Green Lane, PA and John O. John Oaks Hendricks , son of James was born about 1850, in Salford. He married Sarah "Bardman", d/o Jacob and Elizabeth "Boardman". Children; James, Horace of Allentown, John Boardman, of Allentown, Wilson, Sallie, Leroy, Hulda, Wallace, Ralph and Lucy. John "Bardman" Hendrichs, s/o John and Sarah, was born Feb 3 1886, in Upper Salford. He married in Jan. 1908 to Ida S. Kuhns, d/o Simon and Mary (Lorish) Kuhns. They had 1 daughter, Helen Viola Hendricks, born Aug 22, 1909. Hendricks Family. Tobias Hendricks, a native of York countyy, was a pioneer settler of Snyder county, and in his new home performed an important part in its history. Fort Hendricks, at Kreamer, having been named after him or his father. Samuel Hendrick, son of Tobias, was born in Penn township, Snyder Co, and is buried at Row's Church, to which he donated 20 acres of land with the provision that "No Hendrick's shall be refused burial in the cemetery of Row's Church. His wife was Elizabeth DeWees. They had one son, Benjamin, was born Sept 25, 1811 in Snyder Co. He moved to Sunbury in 1824. He married Anna M. Shindel and they had children; Samuel S., William M., Jacob S., Elizabeth w/o Hon. Simon P. Wolverton, Martin L., Susan A., Louisa, Mary, Catharine, Isaac N., John P.S. and Anna M. Martin L. was born in 1843 in Sunbury, he married Esther Bright, and they had no children. Andrew Hendricks, a lineal descendant of Tobias, lived and died in Snyder Co. His son, Peter, was born there, and when 20 years old moved to Longswamp, Berks Co, where he married Mary Weiler, a sister of Nathan, Peter, Charles and William Weiler. From that place he moved to Fogelsville. He had 3 brothers, George (Civil war vet and lived at Bethlehem) John, (Civil war and lived in Schuylkill Haven) and Jacob (lived in Snyder Co). He was a large heavy set man, having weighed 350 pounds. His children were; Alfred of Macungie, Frank, deceased, Kate married Hon. Amandes Sieger, James of Phila., and "Orlanda" J. "Orlando" was born March 15, 1855. In 1875 he married Rose, d/o Tilghman and Flora (Schreiber) Neff, and they had children; Mary married Frank Apple, James W., George, Hattie married Fred Kratzer, Florence married Harry Walter, Annie, Bessie and John.
