    2. Mike Siegler, I know this is a long short but one has to grasp at all straws when your head is getting tired from hitting a block wall. My great great grandmother was Maria Magdalena Siegle b. May 31, 1809 in PA. She m. Abraham Jackson July 7, 1826 Salisburg Twp., Leigh Co., PA per two German newspaper announcements. and in Rev. Daniel Zeller's marriage listings.. I have seen her Siegle name spelled many different ways (Seagle, Sigley, Zeigley, Siegley, etc.). Maria and Abraham after having three sons all christened in the Zion Reformed Church in Leigh Co moved to Clarion Co., PA. Their son Benjamin's sponsers at his christening were J. George Sigley and his wife Susanna. The sponsor of another son George Andrew Jackson's was George Siegly without the J and his wife Susanna. Abraham and Mary (Maria) later moved to Mason Co., IL where they both died. Do any of these individuals ring a bell? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. 3. Paul --- My Ziegler line is from Durham Township, Bucks County, which is across the County line from Lehigh County. The early spelling was found in census records and other records as Siegler. I have never seen the spellings you list as alternates for the Ziegler/Zeigler family. There was a major immigration early on in the 1700s of Aieglers who settled in the Northampton and later Lehigh County area. This is a different line from my line. I did find records at the Lower Saucon Refomred Church in Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County which might contain your George and Susanna. They are from the book "Early PA Reformed Church and Cemetery Records" compiled by Ruth Allen: Page 235 - Joseph Sigli, b. 5/29/1801, bp. 6/28/1801, son of George & Susanna Sigli; sponsors were Peter & Elizabeth Lynn Page 239 - George Sigli, b. 4/18/1805, bp. 8/18/1805, son of Goerge & Susanna Sigli; sponsors were George Hess,Jr. & Elizabeth Knobel. Page 240 - Felix Siegele, b. 1/23/1808, bp. 4/8/1808, son of Frederick & Elisabeth Sieglele; sponsors were George Felix & Elisabeth Lynn. Page 243 - Joseph Siegele, b. 10/9/1809, bp. 1/21/1810, son of Frederick & Elisabeth Siegele; sponsors were Philip & Sybilla Lynn. Page 248 - John Linn, b. 10/4/1813, bp. 5/1/1814, son of John & Catharine Linn; sponsors were Frederick & Elisabeth Sigly. Page 271 - Matilda Henrietta Sigley,b. 1/4/1836, bp. 4/4/1836, daughter of James & Marry (sic) Siigley; sponsors were Jesse Weyknecht & Henrietta Stuber. Hope these help.
