War Rex Daniel, PA Line, applied 1832 in Adams Co aged 78 and was then referred to as Daniel Rex Sr. Soldier lived in Northampton Co., PA at enlistment. Soldier died in Aug 1835. In 1850 soldier's son William Rex was of Gettysburg, in Adams Co. In 1877 a Willaim N. Rex was of Shelby in Richland Co., Ohio William PA line, soldier lived in the part of Northampton Co., that became Lehigh Co at enlistment he applied 1832 Northampton Co, aged nearly 86. The founder of this family was George Rex, born in Germany 1682 and died in Washington township, Oct 18, 1772. He and his wife, Barbara, after spending some time in Germantown, came to Heidelberg (now Washington) township. Took land in 1739. Children; Mary, Louisa, Menno, Ellen, Wilson, and Emma Willliam Rex, son of George, the pioneer, with his wife Margaret, moved from Germantown to Northampton about 1750. very little is known about him, execpt that his son, was born about 1744 and was said to be living in 1832. William Jr, was the father of 7 children, viz/ Mrs. ______West, Henry, Daniel, Jacob who had 2 sons; Nathan and Isaac. John, Willaim and John George. The latter was born 1803 and died in 1875. He married Elizabeth Greiger and and had, Eliza, Solomon, George, Jacob and Reuben. George was born Oct 15, 1829 and in 1835 he married Fianna Snyder. They had children; Louisa, Levi, Matilda, Menno G., Emma, Mary. Reuben was the lather of Leana and Wilson, the latter a JP of Slatedale. William Rex Sr., said to have been another son of George, by name, who left 3 children. Margaret, John George and Maria.
