Lebanon Co The Rex family was establised in Lebanon county by Abraham and Samuel Rex, who came from Chestnut Hill, Germantown, and located at Schaefferstown, formerly in Lancaster Co, where Samuel became a JP. He left no issue. Abraham Rex, came to Lebanon Co, prior to his marriage to Elizabeth Shaeffer, d/o Henry and Eve Shaeffer, and granddauther of Alexander Shaeffer, founder of Shaefferstown.. Children; Mary, who married Peter Zimmerman, Samuel S. married Lucetta Shultz, d/o Peter, Franklin, killed in a railroad accident. Ann, married W. M. Weigley of Schaefferstown. Abraham who married Amanda Horter of Germantown, George born Dec 3, 1815, who read medicine with Dr. Gloninger, practiced at Jonestown, later at Sout Bend, IN and also at Phila. Dr. George Rex, married Herietta Harper, of Lebanon Co. Cyrus Rex, the only surviving member of the family of Abraham and Elizabeth Rex, was born Aug 2, 1822. Mr. Rex never married. Best Wishes, Geri
