Is there anyone on the Lehigh list who researches the surname Wetzel/Wetsel/Whetsel/Whetzel/Whitsell? Has anyone found first or middle names such as Daniel, John (Homer), Stephen, Nelson or Delmar used for any of the Wetzel families from Macungie Twp. or other counties in eastern PA? I am looking for the parents of a Stephen Whetzel b. 1822. Believe that his grandfather was a brother of a Daniel Wetzel b. 1757 who changed the spelling to Wetsel. Daniel's parents were John Wetzel and Johanna Jane Jarrett of Macungie Twp. John Wetzel's parents were Conrad Wetzel and Catherine Bayer. Any clues would be gratefully welcomed. Marilyn: Lake Co., IL
