bucks co. history mill, george m. of buckingham twp., was born dec. 23. 1823 in durham twp. solomon mill, grandfather, married a miss deemer, children; tranther, who married a miss dean, john, george, and solomon. george mill, father, a member of the german fef. ch, he married catharine good, the had 11 children, two died in infancy, sarah, w/o samuel jacoby, catharine, w/o isaac jacoby, solomon g., george c., john c. magdalena w/o elroy loux, susanna, w/o isaac laubach, mary, w/o ely cauly and amanda, w/o samuel gahmen. george g. mill, married "miss madame barron", d/o jacob and susanna barron of bucks co. children, mary, 1852, married reuben kohl, emma, 1853, w/o joseph ruos, isaiah b. 1858, catharine, 1861, elmer, 1869 loux, john a. of pipersville, is a great-grandson of peter loux, who came to the twp., 1737 john, grandfather to john a., was born 1756. 15 years after his marriage he bought a farm in plumstead, where he died in 1830. he was twice married, 1st wf. a rosenberger, who was the widow of henry leatherman, (children, john, peter, abaham, and catharine), he married 2nd to a wisner, the widow of an augeney. she had one son moses. the father of john a., was peter, who died july 24, 1871 age 85. member of the old deep run mennonite ch. he was also married twice, 1s to rebecca artheholt, of nww brutaub twp., who died sept, 1834, he married 2nd anna overholt, she had one child, mary, w/o enos huntsberger. children of the 1st wf. anna, died young, samuel killed in 1847, christian, and john a., who was born nov. 19, 1815. he (john a.) was twice married, 1st may 30, 1841 hannah,d/o leonard jacoby, of hilltown. she was born dec 5, 1820 and died march 18, 1844, leaving one child, amanda, who was the wf of john f. raus. mr loux married 2nd to rachel, d/o john high of berks co. she was born feb 1, 1826. they had two children, william died young and emmiline, wf of daniel f. bennett, of shawneetown, monroe co., pa. vandergrift, theodore d. of eddington, was born in bensalem twp. dec. 24, 1822, s/o joseph j., and hannah (jacoby) vandergrift. jacpby, john, of new britain, was born in doylestoen, jan 2, 1829, s/o john, sr. and mary (shifler) jacoby, natives of bucks co. the jacoby family were among the early settlers of durham twp. the grandfather of subjct was a blacksmith by trae. the father of john was born in durham and moved to doylestown about 1820. he died in his 81st year. he was the father of 9 children, 3 are living, isaac, susan, w/o samuel haldeman and john of doylestown. he marrie march 2, 1852 to sarah clymer, d/o henry and hester (meredith). children; henry f., edwin, carri, mary and jenniie. members of the baptist ch. jacoby, o.s. of doylestown, was born in doylestown, dec, 1855, s/o peter and lydia a.
