    3. bucks co. history benjamin jacoby, s/o peter and catharine(landes) trauger) jacoby was born sept. 9. 1786. he was a mason by trade. in the fall of 1809 he married margaret landes, d/o samuel and susannah landes on sept 10, 1810, purchased a small farm in nockamixon where he lived for 6 years following his trade in the summer and teaching in the winter. he brought a farm of 90 acres two miles from frenchtown, n.j., where he lived till 1836 when he purchased the farm in sprinfield, adjoining the farm purchsed by his grandfather in 1798. the farm has remained in the family ever since, and is now the property of the subject henry sylvester jacob. here benjamin jacob lived there until the spring of 1839, when he rented the farm to his son peter l. jacoby, and moved to the village of springton, where died oct 29, 1850. he srv in the war of 1812. his wife margaret, died in 1827 and he married in 1829 margaret, d/o peter werst, who died sept 26, 1844, without issue. How old could she have been? Was she a young woman at that time, Sister of Peter? Grandmother? tWO OF THEM? Name is not carried in later generations. If we can pinpoint her, perhaps we can locate Peter WERST under whatever spelling he was.
