(rev.) was born in upper saucon twp., born april 1, 1847, s/o jacob and sarah (horlacher) cooper. he married oct 4,1870 to emma knause of phila. pa. biery, walter, was born in siegersville, lehigh co., april 3, 1852, s/o nathan and leanda (guth) biery. he married feb. 26, 1876 to sarah d/o john and elisabeth (heckman) nolf. children; lillie l., perry w., and harry e. members of the german ref. ch. peters, daniel, was born in washington twp., dec. 4, 1853, s/o daniel and maria (fenstermacher) peters. he marrid susanna bersch, was born jan.30, 1839, d/o john and susannah (guth) bertsch. mrs. bertsch died oct. 19, 189 and her huband died nov 13, 1875. kurtz, uriah, was born in hanover twp., feb. 11, 1842, s/o henry kurtz. he married in allentown to catharin ruch, d/o william, a farmer, whose death occurred in 1893. mr. and mrs. kurtz having no children of their own have taken two children of the latter's brothe, jennie and harley r. beck, richard h. (m..d.) was born dec 20, 1850, s/o jaacob and susanna (reinheimer) beck. for a number of years jacob beck, the father, engaged in mercantil pursuis at nazaret. richard beck, married in 1876 to annie herman, d/o rev. a.j. herman and maxtawany, berks co, mrs. beck is a grad. of the allentown female college. children, charles g., florence c., edwin h. and sem. g. sterner, jonathan, of whitehall, was born march 9, 1830, s/o adam and mary (yost) stere. his grandfathr, abraham sterner. jonatha sterner married oct 2, 1853 to caroline marsteller, she was born april 19, 1830 in upper saucon, d/o samuel and sarah (miller) marsteller. mrs. sterner has 2 brothers and 2 sisters living, viz/ charlees, jacob, eliza and hannah jonathan sterner was the father of, james o., hattie, w/o henry kurtz, and mary. leith, samuel e. was born in northampton co, sept. 6, 1822, s/o peter and catharine (ebhard) leith. in1864 mr. leith married dec 21, 1848 to sarah gross, a native of s. whitehall, d/o solomon and hannah (guth) gross. great grandfather peter gross was born in germany.
