stahler, reuben, of allentown, was born nov. 16, 1816, s/o lawrence stahler, mrs. magdalena (reinhard) stahler, mother of reuben stahler. she was the d/o john adam reinhard and her family for many geneations were all born in this county. march 5, 1843 reuben married march 5, 1843 dianna engelman. stahler, johann nicolaus, a palatinate, immigraed to this county in 1738, settled in upper milford twp. john n. stahler died sept. 1794 and left 6 sons, anthony, john nicholas, jr., philip, ludwig, henry and peter stahler. his estate was divided between two of his son, -henry stahlr and peter stahler. his 4 other sons, anthony, j. nicolaus, philip and ludwig settled elsewhere in upper milford. anthony stahler, sr., died dec 24, 1797 and left 3 sons, anthony jr., john nicholas and henry and 5 daus. john nicolaus stahler jr., died and left 3 sons, loren, daniel, and jacob stahler and 3 dau. philip stahler died and left 8 children, 4 sons, abraham, eli, david, and daniel and 4 daus. ludwig stahler, s/o j.n. stahler was a j.p, 1781-1821. he died and left 3 sons, christian, david and john nicholas stahler and 5 daus. henry stahler, s/o johannes nicolaus, died 1819 and left 5 sons, anthony, henry, thomas, cyrus and isaac stahler and 5 daus. peter stahler died without children. anthony stahler, jr, s/o anthony, sr. was j.p 1799-1809 assessments of upper milford and lower milford, 1781, anthony stahler, ludwig stahler, nicholaus stahler, jr., nicholaus stahler sr. single freeman, philip stahler, peter stahler 1812, christian stahler, daniel stahler, henry stahler, ludwig stahler, nicholaus stahler, sr. nicholaus stahler, jr., nichollaus stahler, peter stahler, philip stahler, lorenz stahler daniel stahler, was born in upper milford, march 31, 1781, died aug 31, 1854 age 73y 5m lorenz stahler, brother of daniel was born april 8, 1779, he died aug 15, 1854 age 75y 3m and 27d joshua stahler, s/o lorenz was born oct 2, 1814 Best Wishes, Geri -----Original Message----- From: Ronald A. Theresa at one point was also referred to as Caroline. They are the parents of Catherine STAHLER (1842-1924), who married Tilghman RITTER (1837-1907). I have several potential ancestors but seem unable to find the links that would confirm which are his actual ancestors. Any leads, including Theresa's maiden name, would be greatly appreciated.
