Poh, 79, of North Catasauqua, died Saturday, February 17, 2007, in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Betty J. (Young) Poh. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary earlier this month. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Norman R. and Marion A. (Flansburg) Poh. Donald was a senior technical associate at AT&T Bell Labs, Allentown, for 39 years before retiring in 1987. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the Army Air Force. Mr. Poh was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Howertown, where he was treasurer of the U.C.C. Endowment Committee for three years. Donald was a scoutmaster of Boy Scouts Troop 49 at Salem U.C.C., Catasauqua, for 25 years. He received the Scoutmasters Key and was an Eagle Scout plus two Palms. He was a Red Cross water safety instructor for 20 years. He was a member of the Greater Allentown Pioneers and was president of AT&T Life Member Club in 1990-91. Mr. Poh was a school director at Catasauqua High School for 12 years and Lehigh County Vo-Tech for 10 years. He was the Morning Call Volunteer Citizen of the Year in 1997. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Marsha L., wife of Bill Decker of Allentown, Yvonne L., wife of Ronald Sewell of Galena Park, Texas, Kim L., wife of Greg Gorsky of Sweet Valley, Pa.; sister, Norma L. Hall of New Bern, N.C.; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 1335-37 Linden St., Allentown.
