Hello! I am wondering if anyone knows where in Germany these Jacobys emigrated from?? Also, do you think they may be related to the Jacoby family from Philadelphia, Paul Jacoby? To make matters more complicated, my grandmother's maiden name was Jacoby - descendent of Paul; I married a Jacoby in Texas whose family come from Germany in 1840 to Galveston then migrated up to the Texas hill country. I am TRYING to find out if the Jacoby name was known to be from certain regions in Germany! ANY thoughts, opinions, etc. are more than welcome!!!!! thank you!
