(m.d), was born feb. 20, 1832, s/o jacob and susan (butz) freeman. he married 1850 to matilda seip d/o edward, of easton. children; dr. edward j., walter s. of philliipsburg, n.j. mary e. w/o g.w. bachman and emma. dr. edward j., the elder son of subject, was a native of easton, he married may 24, 1877 to emily knecht, d/o john knecht, of shiemersville. member of the ref. ch. miller, william, was born in northampton, oct. 27, 1837, s/o john and maria miller. he married 1858 to elvina l. d/o abraham frantz, of northampton. bitz, henry, s/o john and catharine, and his anestors were early settlers of the lehigh valley. on may 1, 1847 henry bitz, married rebecca a. ackerman, d/o isaac and sallie (hahn) ackerman. children, sarah, w/o josiah price,isaac, matilda, w/o samuel russell, emma, w/o owen dreisbach, ellen, w/o jacob e. haney, amanda, edna, w/o joseph albert, and martha, w/o john yeisley meyer, peter g., of plainfield, is a native of washington twp., was born oct. 2, 1833, s/o george and susanna (kessler). george meyer, father, was born in lower saucon, he died nov. 23. 1876 age 83. children; isaac, of wisc., ann e., w/o abram cressman, of bangor, peter of plainfield, and thomas of washington twp. peter g., married margaret stocker, feb. 26, 1860, children; ervin j., mary s., elmer, andrew j., george a., laura s., agnes e. and anie m. brinker, adam, was born in forks twp., feb. 3, 1846, and there his father and paternal grandfather, who both bore the christian name of jacob. subject's father moved to williams twp, he died 1848. he married susan wilhelm, a native of easton, who died 1880 aged 67. children; jacob of jeddo, pa., sarah, w/o __ knecht, in plainfield twp., david of n.j., sabine, w/o __ gillen of danville, ill., joseph of davis, ill., and adam.
