3. That is correct. Many of the Guths changed their name to Good. Early church records were done in German and continued using Guth although some of the Civic records can be found under Good. There were several Guth families that immigrated to Pennsylvania. The 2 largest that I know of were the Lorentz Guth who immigrated to Northampton/Lehigh County and settled along the Jordon River. The other was a Jacob Guth (I believe that was his name) who immigrated and settled in the Lancaster County area of Pennsylvania. In my Guth database I continued to use the Guth spelling so that I could more easily discover duplications in people that I entered in the database. Can you tell if Marie Good's genealogy has been published? I would be interested in finding out more about the information it contains. The GOOD name is married into my Butterbaugh/Puderbaugh family out of Franklin/Bedford Co., PA. The genealogy was done by Marie Galbraith GOOD. Family buried two miles inside th state line from MD.

    3. Hi Anna --- I don't know if you had time to check the website. I have 10 children for Henry and Mary Magdalena (Wieder) Guth. They are: Henry (Henrich) Guth b. 12/26/1802 Jacobus Guth b. 5/26/1804 Maria Guth b. 11/1/1805 Margareth Guth b. 12/16/1807 Moses Guth b. 11/9/1809 Nathan Guth b. 5/19/1811 married Mary Litzenberger Anna Guth b. 2/6/1813 Emilia Guth b. 11/21/1817 Leah Guth b. 2/14/1819 Elizabeth Guth 3/29/1822 I believe all were baptized at Jordon Reformed Church in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. I also have in my file another Mary Margaretha Wieder who was born 11/19/1790 and is the daughter of Michael Wieder and Anna Lehr. She married Daniel L. Guth, b. 3/6/1787. They had 11 children that I found. Their family details are at: http://mikezs-place.tripod.com./guthdata/gp26.htm I also have a couple of Steiningers in my database. The first was Barbara Steininger who was born 6/15/1767 and married Daniel Guth. They had 2 children that I have found. Their family sheet is at: http://mikezs-place.tripod.com./guthdata/gp2.htm The other was Maria Barbara Steininger who was born 10/17/1790 and married John Guth. They had 3 children that I found. Their family sheet is at: http://mikezs-place.tripod.com./guthdata/gp58.htm Hope this information is of interest. When you mentioned Elizabeth Guth I answered you. When you also mentioned Andrew Wieder, that's where you got into my family. His father was Leonard Wieder and mother Susanna Steininger. I am a direct descendent of Leonard Wieder and John Adam Wieder the first. Next Maria Magdalena was the daughter of J. Michael Wieder and Eva Lehr or Leohr. Just thought I would mention this in reply. As far a Henrich Guth is concerned, I have him listed as having 9 children, but no names of the children. Is this in your file? I will check the web site you gave in your e-mail. Anna in AZ

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone. 1. Re: [PALEHIGH] odds and ends (very long)
    2. Mike, Sorry I did not answer sooner, but had some other things that were pressing.
