Joan, Anna --- I am not looking for anyone in particular. In researching my Ziegler line I have discovered 2 connections to different Guth families. My 2ggrandfather Wilson Ziegler married Elizabeth Ann Guth, Daughter of Henry Guth and Catharine Hoffman from South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. Wilson's aunt Susanna Ziegler married Henry Guth from Durham Township, Bucks County. In researching the Guth families, I started the database containing the results of my effort. It includes information I have taken from church records, the Guth/Gut/Good Newsletter, and other Guth researchers, When I saw Anna's original post on the Wieder/Guth connection I was interested in tying it into my research. It is difficult to get connections to the maiden names for people who marry Guth males from civil and church records. Likewise when you have the baptism of a female child it is not always easy to find out who she married in an attempt to follow the family line. I appreciate what information you have given me and I will add it to my database as I make connections. Yes, sometime ato. I got it from a Brethren, way back in about 1980+/- Located in the Wabash Co., area of Indiana, whom I feel sure has passed away by this time. Will check and see if they are still available. Wilbur Linder. He was a Butterbaugh/Puderbaugh historian.which one was my GGmor. This family B/P is buried just indside the state line in the Franklin Co., line of PA. Peter B. & George P. were aboard th same ship, except that George as only 13, and not listed. Lived Newville. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Ziegler" <mikez702@cox.net> To: <palehigh@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2007 12:48 PM Subject: Re: [PALEHIGH] odds and ends (very long) > That is correct. I have been wondering if Werstler and Marsteller are taken for each other because or the mis-interpretation of the written M/W, through pronunciation. ----- Original Message ----- From: "geri brennan" <gerifelker@webtv.net> To: <panortha@rootsweb.com>; <palehigh@rootsweb.com>; <pacarbon@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 14, 2007 9:33 AM Subject: [PALEHIGH] Bowman > monntgomery co., pa. > bowman, casper, of douglass. proved july 17, 1798. son jacob, farm, he to > pay 840pds. to sons and daughter equally; susannah stouffer, abraham, > esther, maria miller, john, jacob, isaac and martin bowman. > > renninger, jacob of douglass, proved june 12, 1815. to wife elisabeth, > farm, household goods and 300-pds yearly. to son john, farm, to daughter > elisabth, 40pds yearly, to son henry, 40pds yearly, to daughter maria, > 40pds yearly, to son john, 40pds yearly, to daughter susanna, 40pds > yearly, to son jacob40pds yearly, to jacob bowman, son of deceased > daughter magdalena, 40pds yearly. to son john, smith tools. > > bowman, philip of towamencin, jan. 9, 1808, matthias stouffen, jacob > wampole, admins. > > births > bawman > maria aug 22, 1817, d/o george and elisabeth > > samuel (ill) sept 4, 1812 samuel kopling and maria bauman > > samuel, 1801 nov 13, martin and rosina > > susanna 1794 april 2, d/o isaac and susanna > > marriages > bauman, henrich to magdalena renninger, march 11, 1810 > > bauman, isaac to susanna schirm, dec. 17, 1782 > > bauman, henrich to sarah lagenecker, feb. 19, 1815 > > bauman, jacob, to elisabeth richstein, july 1, 1810 > > bowman, jacob to christina biebrauer, july 14, 1804 > > deaths > bauman, jacob of amt. lambrecht in zweibrucken, germany, aug. 17, 1784, > 69y 3m less 2d > > bauman, margareth, may 7, 1777, age 64y > > bucks co. > george bauman, of springfield twp. proved feb. 13, 1799, wf. margaret, > sons jacob and george bauman. exrs; jacob, geore, catharine, peter, > nicholas and philip. wits; valentine marstellar, adam switer. > > phila. co. > bowman, john of germantown, co. of phila. wf. elizabeth. execs; elisabeth > bowman, son-in-law, john leibert and john knor. names of chilldren not > given > > bowman, christian, providence, co., of phila. a potter. feb. 28, 1735. wf > and exec. barbara bowman. wits; thomas lock, christopher zimmerman and > jacob enel > > lancaster co. > bowman > casper to mary bond 29 march 1768 > > daniiel to elisabeth wister 20 july 1777 > > henry to phebe hogman 3 nov 1777 > > isaac to hannah musser 31 dec 1829 > > samuel (rev.) to harriet clarkson 28 june 1836 > > hess, george to elisabeth bowman 22 jan 1776 > > may, james (rev.) to ellen stewart bowman, 8 jan 1829 > > maybury, jerry to catharine bowman, 20 dec 1795 > > smidth, george to anna bowman, 22 april 1777 > > Best Wishes, Geri > > > -----Original Message----- > From: George Gildersleeve > Sent: Friday, March 9, 2007 12:59 PM > To: PANORTHA@rootsweb.com > Subject: [PANORTHA] Bowman, Adam > > Seeking information about Adam and Elizabeth Bowman from probably > Northampton County. Mike, you might find her under the name - Hettie. She is listed on various records as either Esther or Hettie, perhaps a nickname. Joan Blank

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at http://www.aol.com.
Would anyone have information on a Jacob Steininger (above) married to Clara (Cleria) Ann Schankweiler b: February 26, 1843 Fogelsville, Berks Co., Pa. ? Clara was also married to Allen M. Kemmery b: ca 1854 Salisburt Twp., Lehigh Co. Pa. Clara's parents are Reuben Schankweiler & Anna Wendling. That's all the information I have on them. Thanks in advance for any help. Reta To: Michael Zieger I have been reading your messages with great interest. My own families (including my husband's) include the names mentioned with quite a few marriages between Guths and Wieders. I am a cousin of Anna Bennet's. In the list of Henry and Mary Magdalena (Wieder) Guth's children I also have listed Esther Guth born 10/2/1815 who married Peter Blank, a relative of my husband's family. They also lived and farmed in South Whitehall Township and attended the Jordan Reformed Church. I also have quite a few Steiningers in my tree. Mary Magdalena and Mary Margaretha were both daughters of Michael Wieder and Eva Lehr. These early PA Dutch families were very clannish and tended to marry within their own circle of family and friends. Thanks Joan --- I did not see Esther when I was going through the records for Jordon Reformed. The only 2 Esthers I found were born in 1808 and 1810. I will add her to my database.
