    3. The 1900 image says Tillie is b. Sept., 1852, and is age 47 in June, 1900. John is b. Jan., 1852, so he should be age 48 in June, 1900, not 47. My Grandmother was also a Beil. Her father was John P.F. Beil, the youngest son of John Peter Beil and Christina Mickley. My grandmother was the only daughter of John P.F. Beil's second wife. My focus right now is a birth record showing John P. F. Beil is definitively John P. Beil And Christina's son. I am 99.9% sure from the census records I have. I am very interested in sharing information. Please let me know what you are looking for and I will do what I can to help. I look forward to hearing from you. 1. [PALEHIGH] Jacobi/Yeakel
    2. For those of you stumped on your "Jacobi" line, you might try looking under "Jäckel," or "Yeakel." All of these surnames are derived from the diminutive of the given name "Jacob." "Jacobi" would be the Latinized version, which would indicate Swiss Reformed origins, but "Jäckel," "Yeakel," and variations would be the German versions. In southwestern Lehigh and Montgomery counties, this is a Schwenkfelder name. This might sound far-fetched, until you realize that the name "Pastorius" is the Latinized version of "Schäffer" (shepherd). Hope this helps! 1. Re: [PALEHIGH] Clarissa Matilda Hinckel in LMT censuses
    2. Assuming you were correct in your guess that Matilda was born in Macungie, I checked for her in the surrounding areas. On the Hinkle Surname Message Board on Ancestry.com, I've just posted images for what I believe is the family of George and Maria Elizabeth Hinkle, parents of "Matilda" Hinkle, in the Lower Macungie Township censuses from 1840 through 1880. If this looks like it is your family, you should probably check the records of Lehigh Church (also known as Zion Church), Lower Macungie Twp., as well as Grace Lutheran Church and Solomon's United Church of Christ, Borough of Macungie. Good luck! (This is not my line.) I don't know if these issues are available, but they may be--it said that articles were done June 1990, Oct 1989 and July 1989 & Oct 1985. Just thought whoever was researching the Guth name might want to check this out. Good luck. Beverly

    3. Hello! I am wondering if anyone knows where in Germany these Jacobys emigrated from?? Also, do you think they may be related to the Jacoby family from Philadelphia, Paul Jacoby? To make matters more complicated, my grandmother's maiden name was Jacoby - descendent of Paul; I married a Jacoby in Texas whose family come from Germany in 1840 to Galveston then migrated up to the Texas hill country. I am TRYING to find out if the Jacoby name was known to be from certain regions in Germany! ANY thoughts, opinions, etc. are more than welcome!!!!! thank you! 3. Hi Anna ---- I don't have any Jacoby information in my files. I just found the George Mill marriage to Catharine Good (Guth) last summer when I found the estate file for Henry Guth (Catharine's father) in Doylestown. I found 3 of their children (Catharine, Susanna and Mary) from birth records at Durham Reformed Church. I had no idea that Catharine and Susanna married Samuel and Isaac Jacoby until I saw Geri's note this afternoon. I am adding them to my list of nemaes to do research on.
