    1. GUTH/GOOD in Whitehall twp
    2. Hi all, By way of introduction, let me say I'm delighted to find a mailing list for this county. As I live in Texas, getting PA info isn't all that easy, tho I've made two trips already. I married into the Good family, I myself am also actually from Germany - very easy for me to find my immigrant German ancestor! There are three distinct Guth progenitors for Whitehall Good/Guth families. They are Lorenz, Peter and George. While most of todays residents appear to come from the family of Lorenz, there are some of us from the other two. Peter is my guy of interest, but I have lots of information on George as well. These are all reform folks - no mennonite heritage directly. Some of my lines married into TROXELL and HELFRICH, possibly also HOFFMAN. Anyone else out there working in the Whitehall (now N and S) townships?? Tschuess, Heidi

    3. Hi all, I am looking for a John Rumfield married to Catherine Mohry. They had a daughter Esther Rumfield who married Frederick Walters. I believe this is the same John Rumfield who shows up in the 1810 census in Northampton Co. (Salisbury Twp) This could be the father of my g-g-grandfather. I haven't made the connection yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dick Sommer <rosommer@primenet.com>

    1. Zeigel's Church
    2. Candy J. Gessat
    3. Hi Everyone, Just got back from Zeigel's Church. I got pictures and more info than I thought. Lot's of Walbert's in the cemetery. I found my gggrandparents, ggggrandparents and some ggg uncle's and aunt's. This morning I picked up my three great aunts, one in Pennsburg and the other two in Emmaus. We had some trouble finding Zeigel's (it is in the boonies). My Aunt's are 79, 81 (today) and 87 and they couldn't agree on the right way to get there. Then they were worried I would get upset because it was taking too long. I told them look at it as a drive in the country. I stop at a gas station and asked. He said just up the road at the Y. Well we drove and drove and no Y. I ended up on Rt. 100, so I took it to Fogelsville. Went along the back way, oldest Aunt said this is the way she wanted to go. Wasn't sure, so I asked the flag man and he said just up the road on the left was a dirt road, Cemetery Rd. make a left. Found It. Went up the dirt road and the Cemetery was right there. With my Aunt's I couldn't spend as much time as I would of liked. Only got around to looking in the new cemetery. Thanks Sylvia for the info. My oldest Aunt did know were her grandparents were buried. I don't think she realized that her ggrandparents were behind them. They are all buried in the newer section. I will head back up in a couple of weeks and check out the old cemetery. Earl, I saw alot of Walbert Markers, took a couple of pictures of other markers other then my grandparents. I didn't see any Mary Walbert Heilman. When I go up by myself I'll check again on your John Daniel Acker and see if I can find the Heilman. It was getting too much for my Aunts. The church is on top of a hill. When I came down off the hill. I came out just above the gas station I stopped at earlier. I now know how to get there both ways. So all my Aunts were right. Afterward we went to lunch in Macungie and sang happy birthday to my Aunt Topsie. I'm real excited and had a great day. Thank you to everyone that helped, Candy Pennsburg, Montgomery Co., Pa. 2. Candy J. Gessat
    3. Hi, I'm researching mainly the Walbert line. My ggrandfather was Paul Walbert (1891-1972). He is the youngest son of Levi A. Walbert (1856-?). I am going to Zeigel's Cemetery today with three of my great Aunts. So I will be adding date's to Levi A. and his father Levi. I really excited. I am also looking for info on the Dornblaser family. Levi A. Walbert married Arabelle Dornblaser abt. 1882, I believe she was born in 1860. She is the daughter of Benjamin Dornblaser. The only info I have on Benjamin is he is believed to have been in the Civil War. My Walbert's have lived in the Weisenberg/Macungie and over the border to Berks area's since back to the 1700's. Thank-you, Candy Pennsburg, Montgomery Co., Pa. 1. Who are we researching-Schreiber-Morgan and others
    2. Judy Jackson
    3. Hi As a new list would everyone be interested in telling who they are researching in the Lehigh Co area. Only request I have is please put some of the names in your subject line. This is to help those who may be on several different mailing list as I am. I'm researching all lines of the Schreiber surname. The first Schreiber John Jacob Schreiber came to Pa in 1733 from Alsace. He married Anna Magdalena Roth the sister Of Daniel Roth. Seeking information in particular on Frank Schreiber. Was the father of my Grandfather Melvin Schreiber. Frank I was believe was the son of John L Schreiber and Mary Fencile. Also Lewis Morgan's he lived in Lehigh Co but was born in Schuykill Co. As were his children. His daughter Bertha was married to my grandfather Melvin but dieded in the early 1900's due to the flu outbreak. thanks Judy Jackson PALEHIGH list owner judjack@hotmail.com Check out http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/1006 for complete list of names in the Schreiber line. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

    1. RUMFIELD
    2. Richard Olen Sommer
    3. I am looking for a John Rumfield who shows up in the 1810 census in Northampton Co., Sallisbury Twsp., PA. I have been unable to connect my g-g-grandfather, Peleg M. Rumfield, who was born in 1818 in PA, to any other Rumfields in the area. I believe Peleg's oldest son's name was John, Though I can't find proof, and following the PA Dutch tradition of naming the first son after the father's father, I am trying to make the leap. There is also an Easpen Rumfield in Upper Saucana Twsp., Northampton Co.PA in the 1810 census. I would also appreciate any information on him and his relationship to John etc. Thanks to one and all for any help!! Dick Sommer <rosommer@primenet.com>

    1. Rumfield/Rumfeld/Rumfeldt/Rumfelt
    2. Richard Olen Sommer
    3. Hi, I am looking for information on the subject names in Pennsylvania and Ohio. My g-g-grandfather Peleg M. Rumfield was born in Pennsylvania in 1818. I am not sure where he was born, but when he later went to Ohio, he was known as the "Pennsylvania Dutchman". I have found various Rumfields, Rumfelds etc., but have been thus far unable to connect them to my family. The names are fairly uncommon, so I would be happy to pursue any avenue. I would appreciate any information or help I could. Dick Sommer <rosommer@primenet.com>

    3. This is my first posting to the list and I am looking for anything on the name GRAMLICH or KRAMLICH or similar in Lehigh and the surrounding areas. The time would be in the 1730s up to 1800. After that time mine moved to Tennessee. I have heard that the first was Valentin Gramlich and his wife Christiane. My confirmed names are George and Daniel who settled in Tn in 1796. He was rumored to be the son of Valentine; both being born in Germany. At least one other brother was rumored to have stayed in Pa, name unknown. I need anything that you might have on these names. BTW their name was changed to Crumley in Tn. TIA Jerry Hodge
