    1. Searching for this Smith Family
    2. Joe & Steph Grohol Jr
    3. Hi, I am the grandson of the late Walter J. Smith who married Dorothy Simons in Dec, 1930. His father was Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Druch. They had the following children, which I was able to connect through the census and family history. All I believe were born in Northampton or Lehigh Counties during this time frame (1899-1924). Here are the children of Joseph and Mary Druch: Florence Smith (July 1899-?) married a John Woodring (Source: Joseph's obit) and I believe they had a child or children prior to his death. Preston Smith (1901-1960) married Winifred Beck (1907-1993). They had two children Donald and Nancy. Warren (1903-?). I know little about him or if he had ever married, but if I am believe the census, I believe he was married in 1920 or 1930. Ralph (1905-?). I know little about him also. According to his brother's Edward's obit, he was living in Wassergrass in 1955. Seeking information about him or his family, if he married. Viola (1907-?). I know little about her also. According to her brother Edward's obit, she is married to a Moyer in 1955 and was living in Emmaus about that time. Edward Peter Smith (1910-1955). Edward married a Glayds Evelyn Barthold about 1930 or so....and had 4 children all boys Edward Joseph, George Phillip, David Barthold (Allen), Thomas Charles. Edward Joseph was killed in the Korean Confilct in 1950, I believe. My grandfather Walter is the next child. Dorothy (1914-?). Dorothy married a man named Owen Williams, the source is my great-grandmother's obit. She was living in Ackermanville in 1970. Anna (1917-?) Anna married an Eline, no first name. Again the source is her brother, Edward's obit and she was living in Bethlehem in 1955. Possibly remarried. Charles (1922-?) I have very little information on Charles, although he was living with Mary, his mother in 1930 and according to my grandfather's obit in 1976 he was living in Coplay. Verna (1923(?)-1998). Verna married Arthur Hartnagle (?-1977), I have information on her as it was given to me from her late daughter, Florence T. Widmann (1940-2003). Seeking to contact the surviving family members of Arthur and Verna Hartnagle. Catherine (1924-?). Catherine or Katherine was the last daughter Joseph and Mary before he died in 1924. According to family source, Catherine was given up for adoption but was later reunited with her family prior to her brother's death in 1955. Catherine or Katherine married a Albert Fluck in the early 1950's. Seeking information on this family as well. Thank you for any assistance you can give me. Anyone with information this family is to contact me at [email protected] or post a reply to this message. Thank you and have nice day. Joseph Grohol, Jr. Grandson of Walter J. and Dorothy Simons Smith Great-Grandson of Joseph H. and Mary E. Druch Smith
