Anna, married Philip Carmany vi. Margaret, married Christian Harbster vii Samuel, married Samuel Etter. II. Matter, John of Upper Paxtang; died May 1802, leaving a wife Salome, and children; i. John ii. Michael iii Jacob iv. George v. Adam vi. Anna Maria vii. Christian, "my crippled son" Dauphin County Matter, George, F., MD, son of Michael and Sarah Crum, was born Aug 14, 1820, in Lykens Valley. John Matter, the great-grandfather, of German parentage, located in Lykens Valley at an early day. He had 6 sons, of whom, George married a Miss Rumberger, and their son Michael, born in the valley, married Sarah, d/o Fredrick Crum. Michael Matter died Jan 11, 1880, and his wife, June 10, 1876. George Frederick Matter, graduate of Jefferson Medical Scholl. He married 1st in 1886 to Louisa J. Logan, of Port Royal, PA, died Dec 4, 1876, married 2nd to Annie J.
