Progenitor of the family was John Philip Rank, a native of the Palatinate, emigrated to America, landing in Phila., 19 Aug 1729. Catharine, married Jacob Decker vii Margaretta, married Jacob Rauch, they lived in Hanover township, Dauphin County Rank, William (Hon.) , so John Peter Rank and his wife Eva Christina Mosher, was born Oct 19, 1795 in Jonestown. On Dec 26, 1819, William Rank married Eva K., d/o Henry and Barbara (Kern) Brunner, Children; Wilhelmina, Pamelia, Angelina M., Margaret, Cyrus P., William H., Erastus P., Titus H., and 2 that died in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Rank celebrated their golden wedding in 1869, present, 62 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren/ Mrs. Rank died June 24, 1877 in her 78th year, Judge Rank, July 7, 1881, in his 86th year. Guilford, William, MD, s/o Simeon Guilford and his wife Catharine E. Doll, was born Nov. 26, 1832 at Lebanon, PA.
