Hi All-my name is Krismarie. I am new to the list-my research has taken me to 1776 in Lebanon, Cumberland Street and Walnut Alley, where my ancestor sold his property. His name was Theobald Bisch-but it has been spelled Tiewald Pisth, Diebold Bish, Dewalt Bish, and Busch. He emigrated from Preuschdorf/Rittershoffen, Alsace, France in 1770 on the ship Minerva. He went to Salem Lutheran Church in Lebanon, with his wife Elizabeth (Anna Elizabeth Bintz). He moved to Virginia in the late 1770s (because of the war?) where his son Frederick served with the VA militia. I can do lookups in the book "18th Century Emigrants from the Northern Aslace to America" by Annette Kunselman Burgert. Krismarie
