Thanks for the answer. I am trying to figure out why Leonard settled in Pa. when he came to America from Wurttenberg. Usually the person has family living where they first immigrate. I am also curious to know why they left Pa. for Chgo. He worked in the Steel Mills in Chgo. However there were Steel mills right there in Pa. So why leave. I also wanted to know if Leonard Syler had family in Lebanon County, was that the reason he changed his name from Sailer to Syler when he entered the Civil War? Was it because they changed their names. Oh so many unanswered questions. He was married to Catherine Yingst, daughter of John Yingst and Sarah Ann Gockley, granddaughter of Johan Yingst and Sarah Krall, Great granddaughter of Jacob Yingst and Christina Ellinger.
