Lebanon Daily News, Monday Evening, July 23, 1934 National Guardsman Is Badly Hurt In Crash Samuel Adams, aged 29, of Upper Darby, Pa., a member of Troop B, 103rd Cavalry, in training at the Mt. Gretna military encampment, was admitted to the Good Samaritan hospital for treatment for injuries sustained in a auto accident on the Mt. Gretna-Colebrook highway about one-thirty Sunday morning. Details of the crash are lacking but the trooper was admitted at the local institution at 2:15 Sunday morning suffering from a fractured right hip and a fracture of the elbow, abdominal pains, indicating possible internal injuries, lacerations of the right thigh and possible pelvic injuries. His condition was reported this morning as fair.
