I found an obit for his father-in-law. I'll keep looking. Harry L. Adam Sr., former tax collector Harry L. Adam Sr., a former Windsor Township tax collector, died Oct. 13 at 2:45 p.m. in the Laurel Center Genesis Eldercare, Tilden Township, where he had resided since May 18. Adam, 90, Edenberg, was the husband of Erma I. (Peiffer) Adam. His first wife, Dorothie Ann (Zeidler) Adam, died July 29, 1943. He was a Windsor Township tax collector for 24 years. Born in Richmond Township, he was a son of the late Alvin P. and Flossie (Mengel) Adam. Adam and his wife were the owners-operators of Adam Paint and Wallpaper from their residence from 1952 until 2001. He was a fur dealer for more than 50 years. He was also a painter and wallpaper hanger and barn hex-sign painter. Adam was a 50-year member of Vaux Lodge 406, F&AM, Hamburg. He was a 1932 graduate of Fleetwood High School. Adam was a member of Salem Evangelical Congregational Church, Windsor Township. He is also survived by two sons, Harry L. Jr., Edenburg, and Alvin R., West Hamburg; and four daughters: Charlotte E. (Adam) Sunday, Windsor Township; Marilyn E. (Adam) Schropp, Schuylkill Haven; Eileen E. (Adam) Killian, Wickliffe, Ohio; and Karen R. (Adam) Holzman, Jefferson Township. Other survivors include a brother, Alvin C., Edenburg; and a sister, Mary S. (Adam) Holtzman, Lansdale, Montgomery County. There are also 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Salem EC Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
