I will be forever grateful for the records I received through LDS. They were microfilms of actual birth and Baptismal records of several of my ancestors from a small village in Germany. I didn't find them on the Internet I found them at a LDS local church. (by the way I am Catholic not that it makes a difference) I have also found precious information on Ancestry.com. I have to admit I only trust copies of actual documents not transcribed information. But sometimes even transcribed information gives good clues. I have found great information right here on this list! We all have to be careful ... The information is there we just need to know where to look and use good judgement.
