Hello, I found the email below indicating an interest in the KOLB surname, and should have responded earlier. Better late than never, I thought I'd reply now, and also post to the PALANCAS-L list to see if Nancy, or anyone else, has any KOLB information that would identify the parents of Christopher KOLB, whose daughter, Elizabeth, b. 1/1734 in Germany, married Johan Conrad Fasnacht, b.2/16/1728 in Germany. I have this much from Christopher's will: Will of Christopher Kolb names Anna Maria as his wife. Mentions his daughter Elizabeth, wife of Conrad Fassenacht, and his grandson, John Fassenacht, who was under 14 years old at the time of the will, 6/25/1760. The will was proven on 8/22/1775. It is my goal to find out where in Germany Christopher and Elizabeth Kolb were born, and hopefully, find her husband, Johan Conrad Fasnacht, born nearby. And maybe find that the other two Fassnacht immigrants, Johan Adam and Johannes, were born nearby also. The three men settled in the same area of Lancaster County. We feel the three were related, but don't know where in Germany they were born, so finding the birthplace of Johan Conrad's wife, Elizabeth KOLB, would be helpful.
