Lebanon was never part of Adams Co. It was part of Lancaster Co. when the counties in PA were first erected. When Dauphin Co. was erected out of Lancaster Co., what is now Lebanon Co. was included in Dauphin Co. Shortly after the Revolutionary War, Lebanon Co. was erected out of Dauphin Co. with pretty much the boundaries which it now has.
