1. [PALEBANO] RE: ELLENBERGER/KELLER/GINGRICH
2. I am searching for ancestors of Lydia Ellenberger, (Aug 5, 1833-Jan 13, 1896), wife of John Jacob Keller. They lived in North Annville Township, Lebanon County, Pa., and are buried in the Hill Lutheran cemetery in North Annville Township. In the 1850 census, Lydia age 16, was living with Christian, age 49, and Catherine Gingrich, age 48, in North Annville Township. Catherine could be an older sister or an aunt. Probably, Nicholas Ellenberger, the immigrant, is her great grandfather. Nicholas, born in 1698 in the Pfalz, came to America on the ship "Robert and Alice" in 1739. He was taxed in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County, (later becoming Lebanon Co.), in 1750 and 1756. Nicholas' children included two sons, John and Jacob, both who were taxed in Lebanon Twp., and both died in Annville. My records show that John only has daughters and no sons. Jacob is believed to have had five sons including Jacob, (1763-1830), living in Annville Twp. in 1810; Samuel, married to Christine Kline, living in Annville Twp. in 1810; Christian, living in Lebanon Twp. in 1783; John who went to Centre County; and Henry (1777-1838), married to Anna Kreider, and living in Annville Twp. in 1810. Can anyone provide any information on Lydia's parents or siblings. Thank you. William Matz Domatz Webpage
