Hi Donna! .... *Possibly* I have a very little bit on Jacob RUDY (I'm still working on compiling these records, so I'm not even sure if I have their children in my files): ---------- 1 Magdalena STROH. Born on 15 June 1792 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.(1) Magdalena died in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania on 16 February 1878; she was 85.(2) Records of her death stated that she was the mother of seven children, grandmother of 36 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 30 great-grandchildren. On 20 February 1814 when Magdalena was 21, she married Jacob RUDY, in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.(3) 2 Johann Michael STROH. Born on 17 April 1763 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.(4) Johann Michael was baptized on 8 May 1763.(5) Johann Michael died in Stumpstown (now Fredericksburg), Lebanon County, Pennsylvania on 6 March 1821; he was 57.(6) Buried on 7 March 1821 in St. John's Churchyard, Fredericksburg, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.(7) Johann Michael Firnssler and wife, Catharina, were named as sponsors at his baptism. He served in 3rd Company, 6th Battalion, Lancaster County Militia during the American Revolution. On 3 June 1786 when Johann Michael was 23, he married Appolonia (--?--), in Dauphin (now Lebanon) County, Pennsylvania.(7) Sources 1. Born on 7 March 1794 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Michael married Magdalena Rudy. -------------------- If memory serves me, I believe this STROH family ended up with some type of "public house" in Fredericksburg. I'll have to look through my files further. -Linnea At 20:32 4/26/99, der@redrose.net wrote: >I recently discovered that my Hermanus RISTENBATT, born 1805, was choosing >a guardian in Nov. 1820 because *his* father, also named Hermanus >RISTENBATT, had died by then.
