Jacob Rudy is my GGGgrandfather. He was born circa 1802. This would make this Jacob Rudy 18 at the time he was selected as gardian. Could this be? Could it be that Jacob's father was also a Jacob and an innkeeper? I do not know a great deal about him but I do know he was married to Barbara (last name unknown to me). They had 4 daughters, Amanda, Caroline, Angeline and Sarah. Caroline (Karolina) was born 2/12/1833 and baptised at Jonestown Lutheran. She married Elias Mader. The 1850 census lists Jacob's occupation as innkeeper and his age as 48. I also know that Jacob was listed in the 1870 census of Lebanon as living in a hotel and his occupation was retired innkeeper. The fact that RUDY is a fairly common name has made it difficult for me to figure out his parentage. Helen
