Rich, In An Economic History of Lebanon County, published by the Lebanon County Historical Society in 1950, Professor Frederick Miller wrote a chapter on the Cornwall Plantation and Iron Furnace. On page 94 he describes that the Furnace fell short of workers during the revolution and "on April 23, 1777, twenty-two prisoners arrived at Cornwall under the command of a "sergeant" and remained for about 85 weeks. Some men stayed longer than that. Apparently the names of the Hessians were recorded in the Cornwall Furnace Time Book 1776-1785 and I believe that may be inspected at the archives in Harrisburg.
