    3. According to the Myerstown Bicentennial History "Naturally after (our earliest ancestors) came here in 1723 they worshipped in their homes but in the year 1727 they organized. Reverend John Philip Boehm, the father of the Reformed Church in America, began and nurtured twelve congregations, one of which was Tulpehocken. . . . he reported >on 18 of October 1727, 32 celebrated communion at Dolpehocken< In 1730 he wrote >Dolpehocken is anxious to be administered to. I shall go there on November 23.<" The first baptismal record is dated October 21, 1748, I do not know about other records. This church history (from the Myerstown Bicentennial) was written by Rev J. Donald Backenstose in 1968. I found my copy of the Myerstown History with a book search online; there is at least one other out there and it is definitely available through inter-library loan. I believe the Pennsylvania German Society has published the early church records, and these might also be in print and available at the Tulpehocken Settlement Historical Society (?) I am looking for a source for all the Pennsylvania German Society publications but can't find one online, does anyone know of the status of the publishing arm of the Society or its publications? - JL
